Finally!! Wasn't she photographed for this six months back?
I have a soft spot for Angelina so I obviously like this. She photographs very well and the spread feels genuine. Her face on the cover could have been less photoshopped, but the rest is stunning.
that could be an Elle cover! So cheap!
Such a nice surprise. I can't wait to read her interview !
I love her so much, I'm completely biased even though the cover isn't really exciting. I don't understand why she wearing so much makeup on the cover when they're going for a natural-beach-y aesthetic. Too much photoshop too, gives her a weird facial expression.
The cover story however is pefect. I love the shot of her in the water. It would've made a stunning cover if they hadn't done it already with Charlize Theron in 2011. I ddn't expect the kids to show up in the shoot but the pictures are truly beautiful. Such a great family.
My only complain is about the styling, which is very underwhelming.
Angelina's kids are so amazing, most of them don't even leave footprints on the beach!
It's an ok image imo... They had so much space and that's what they do with the layout?!
On a side note, her oldest son is so grown up! I still remember him as a little kid with spiky hair...
I love it, of course. I know I can't be objective because I love Angelina Jolie, she is my favorite movie star, she is one of my favorite people in the world. I love all the pictures and the article, posted online, is beautiful too. Such an inspiring woman.
The cover looks so much better in hi-res, but still a bit flat.
The editorial is great tho. Particularly the solo image in the sea, and the last one with the kid dressed as a bunny.
I'm more excited for the interview. Love Angelina!
Annie needs to take a break. A long one.
Come on, you don't need a reason to have Angie on a cover
Pretty cover, nothing exciting though. At least it looks real.
And ofcourse that sweater is SLP what other high fashion brand makes sweaters looking like you could buy it for less then 20 bucks at H&M.
there is very little content/quotes to the interview. lots of filler and laudatory quotes from people that have worked with her that take up space.
there is so little content from angelina herself for the journalist to mine, that the journlist is forced to take quotes from a book angelina published 12 years ago.
the only interesting part is when the writer mentioned that being angelina requires a "certain megalomania".
I am happy it's Angelina on the cover this month, but how did American Vogue manage to produce such a boring cover with one of the most beautiful and striking women of our time. I quite like the ed, but the cover is really bad, Angie 's pout looks forced and unnatural, this sweater is very ugly and the whole styling is just meh. how does this magazine survive while staying so safe, so boring is beyond me. At least the spread itself is lovely. I am curious to see who is inside. Let me guess: Trentini, Karlie, Kendall?
A lot of those images look as if Angelina and her brood have been dropped into the beach. There's some very dodgy photoshopping around their feet, missing footprints as alreadt stated... it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and takes away from what would have been at least a vaguely interesting shoot.
LOVE this cover SO much now here is a woman/family i enjoy seeing on the cover of Vogue, NOT KIM/KANYE!!
Loved the family pictures as well, very natural looking and cute
I like the cover, I love the editorial. But Leibovitz, girl bye.
I thought I'd like this, but it feels like it's trying too hard to be authentic through some really artificial means... contrived casual.
I think Annie did a great job. Jolie has a magnetic presence on film and in photos, the beach shot doesn't feel totally inappropriate for November because it's a bit moody and she's wearing the Saint Laurent sweater, which also works because it feels so un-styled, and contributes to the personal feeling of the entire shoot.
Kind of worried the film she made will be a trainwreck, but we'll see.
