Anna still doesn’t willing to give Madonna a cover or what.

Gotta love that they had to Photoshop them together. They didn't even bother to pose.

Three MET gala covers for Rihanna and two for Perry? Way too excessive. Meanwhile the people who actually looked great got ignored once again.

Incidentally I happen to think these were two of the worst looks of the evening, so it's probably not a great way to sell your event. Who would want to invest in a bunch of images which one could easily source online anyway?

Anyone on here bought this magazine? What's in it other than pics?

I don't know why everybody hates Katy's outfit so much. I liked it. The Photoshop is bothering me though. Wish they had taken a photo together.

I don’t think the picture is photoshopped. They actually did take photos together.

Rihanna is QUEEN of Vogue so I figured she’d get the cover because she was top 5 best dressed, even if y’all disagree. I loved her outfit. As for Katy, her costume was ehhhh

Katy Perry looked awful that night....dress was way too small, boots were ridiculous and the angelic wings were a mess! Can't believe they put her on the cover w/Rihanna.

Even if Katy's outfit was smarter and better produced, her disgusting childish behaviour and posing would've ruined it. I personally can't get over how awful this haircut looks on her either. She simply makes me cringe
Wasn't she on the cover of last year's special as well? Wearing Margiela to a CDG dedicated event along with that joker Pharrell? Tragic choices over and over again.

The decade we are living in will be counted as the most awful and trashiest decades of all.

Since 'Vogue always want to be part of the cover' and reflect what's trending right now, their multiple Rihanna, Katy, Kendall and Gigi covers serve as prime examples to your quote above!

Both costumes are thirsty hot messes!

Katy's outfits are memorable, that makes the statement by itself. Wearing margiela to a Cdg tribute is a killer OK? That's top tier given way to do a smart tribute, I thought it would be damn obvious Anna Wintour managed that.

Exactly... I’m so tired of reading how Rhiannon “won” the met gala every year by putting on the most ridiculous costume on. They need to call this a Costume Ball, real fashion is no longer part of it.

How far we’ve come from Princess Diana being escorted up the steps by Liz Tilberis. Now we get Rita Ora.

Blake Lively deserved that cover... :innocent:

^Yep, she was the best dressed of the night, Katy's outfit was TERRIBLE

So much this. Met Gala is like some kind of Halloween party. This cover is therefore a perfect representation, I guess.

It actually is about costume

Yes, the exhibit will always showcase what are essentially costumes but the gala needs to go back to being about people dressed in amazing fashion going to see a themed exhibit. Dressing on theme needs to start being discouraged. How many HALOS AND CROWNS did we honestly need to see on the red carpet?

Would have loved to see Jared Leto and Lana Del Rey on the cover. Anyways, not the worst cover they've ever had.

Head pieces are pretty underrated at this point. I can use whatever form that is to bring hats back in style:smile:
