Uses for Baby Products?

i love the burts bees baby line..its body cream smells dreamy!

Baby oil works like a dream on waterproof eye makeup: you don't have to rub half as much as with normal makeup removers. The down side is that at least I find it a bit icky if the oil gets into your eyes, so be careful about that. :flower:

Johnson's Baby Shampoo works well as a shower gel/body wash if you have sensitive skin. I went through a period of lots of skin allergies and that's what the allergy specialist told me to use. It's very gentle and cleans as well as anything else.

thank you for this tip! I'm having allergies from time to time so it could be good for me to try this, but is it ok to use shampoo for body washing?
are you talking about usual Johnson's baby shampoo? I mean the yellow one?

ooh bubchen! I used the average blue one body lotion
I think I'm gonna get some apricot bubchen shower gel, apricot products smell soooo yummy!:p

I use Bübchen raspberry shower gel (2in1) from my brother and Bübchen baby foam (raspberry)-I love it! It's great for washing your face or removing make up (and it also has good ingredients). :flower:

Yeah just the yellow one. I was having skin rashes from allergies and it worked. (If this is the case my specialist also recommended any unscented Aveeno products to moisturize and whatever else you need). Yeah it's ok to use shampoo, just remember you can use shampoo to wash your body but you can't use body wash to wash your hair so it doesn't work both ways. Well, you could but your hair might not be so nice after...

I've heard of people using baby powder in their hair. I don't why exactly. I believe for volume?

baby powder... :o i'm guessing you put it in when it's dry?
difficult for black hair :ninja:

i asked the shampooer at the salon i go to and she told me it had that cleaning ingredient, and she also said never use Pantene shampoos. apparently it's the equivalent to washing your hair with dish soap

That was exactly what my hairdresser said to me -
Pantene contains only stabilisers, nothing which actually cleanses
or conditions the hair, just like putting your hair in dishwater

Anyway, not to get off topic - all the baby products I use are Johnson's because
I find them the most gentle. I use Baby Wipes when I'm at the beach
or on a hot day to refresh when I am full of sunscreen/sand/salt/ice cream.
Put a few drops of nice relaxing Lavender Baby Oil Gel in the bath to
soften skin when it's feeling dry and sometimes use to tan my legs a bit
in the sun, gives a nice sheen. Lavender Baby Shampoo for my make-up
brushes, but never my hair have to use products specially formulated for
coloured hair. When I have a cold or am just sniffly I love
Baby Soothing Vapor Bath. Baby Powder and
Baby Lotion with Aloe Vera for soothing my bikini area after shaving.
Lastly I use Baby Cologne almost every day rather than perfume or
deodorant all over my body, it lasts all day, smell gorgeous and is
very gentle on my skin

I use (Johnsons) baby powder to prep the skin for waxing and to keep me dry inw arm weather, baby oil to remove excess oil after waxing, baby oil gel on legs for a glossy but not greasy shine, baby shampoo to wash my brushes, baby wipes to remove make up (sometimes) and ocassionally baby lotion as a body moisturiser.

I use baby lotion as a hand cream during the winter to keep my skin from cracking. It works like a dream. I've also been using Johnson's babywash as a body wash and I love it! In the summer I use baby sunscreen because I burn very easily and the baby kinds have higher SPFs.

i used my baby cousin's shampoo while visting my family over the holidays because i had forgotten ALL my cosmetics at home! but actually my hair has never been so soft and shiny and wonderful! should i keep using it?

^I say use baby shampoo once a week - it cleanses your hair nicely, and since there isn't so much other stuff in it you'll really notice how soft it is :flower:

I use that myself sometimes, and it's really the best for washing my makeup brushes. I also use Johnson and Johnson Baby Oil (in the gel formula) after my shower to lock in moisture  There's nothing else like it, even though it's sticky

France has the best baby products  Quite often I prefer to use baby products because they're not so heavily scented, and baby wipes are good for getting make up off. I don't trust the 3 in 1 cosmetic wipes, I just don't see how you can pack so much in one tissue :ermm::lol: Plus baby wipes come usually in a tub so they stay fresh, not just sealed with a sticker.

I use Johnson's Lavender baby oil and the aloe & vitamin E baby oil. The lavender one smells so divine and makes me feel so relaxed...perfect to use after a bath or before going to bed. The aloe/vitamin E one is great to use after shaving and to help reduce stretch marks!

As has been said before, Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil is great to lock in moisture. I started using it a couple of years ago when i had to go out in the winter. Now i use it once in a while bring back the softness to my skin

After reading all these good things about baby shampoo and baby wipes, i think i'm gonna try them! Sometimes i feel like adult's products are too heavy and skin/hair are in desperate need for a clean break ;)

Yeah, I am big fan of J&J Baby Oil. And I also use Bubchen as body cream for winter. Plus I have extra sensitive skin so I use Baby Powder as Powder.

i use j&j baby lotion all over my body after taking a shower, always. and i use it on my face before bed. it works like a charm.
