We've seen a TON of: tartan, houndstooth, toggle coats, tweeds, these past few seasons. But she presents is so beautifully, and puts her spin on it just enough to make it feel fresh. The metallic pleated skirts absolutely rule, love how she matched them up with, and intertwined them with the fabrics in the looks

I'm not going to say anything, then

I'd like you to! I was almost on that side of the fence, and then it pulled me in.

I did think a lot of it was weird and almost J. Crew-ish

But then I was like

^OK  First of all, the household/gardening gloves that we've seen on so many runways this season are repulsive (I've especially always hated dishwashing gloves because I'm allergic to them, so nevermind... this is a personal beef I have with them :P). And here they do absolutely nothing for the clothes. Then I find the proportions here very off-putting, made worse by heavy layering that no woman could ever pull off (pleated skirts over wide-legged pants??). That last outfit in the first post is a complete nightmare to me: the shiny baby blue blouson over that crazily unflattering dress (makes every woman's stomach look much bigger than it is, I'd bet), yikes. So I guess most of my issues I have with this collection are styling-related. I see a few separate pieces that I like, but I dislike the color palette and the shiny stuff, so it's hard for me to get beyond that. On a more objective level, I don't like how some of the jackets and vests fit and a lot of the pants are plain unflattering, too.

Don't hate me, Fatalefashion
