Vanessa Axente

Vanessa is KILLING ME at Elie Saab, that glare is just amazing, she would have been a much better opener in my opinion, those eyes are just so full of life. She's growing up to be such a stunning woman :crush:

I really think she got Lanvin campaign. I believe that Meisel is always her favorite model casting for Lanvin.

Didn't know this:

A kampányt is, akárcsak a show-t exkluzívként csinálta, ami azt jelenti, hogy ebben a szezonban csak ezt az egy kampányt fotózhatta. Ezzel olyan cégeknek utasítottuk el az ajánlatait, mint a Versace, az Oscar de la Renta, a Zara, az Escada, a Patek Philippe, a Valentino, a Céline...

They tell that Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Zara, Escada, Patek Philippe, Valentino and Céline wanted Vanessa for their F/W 12 campaigns! But she was a Prada exclusive, so she had to turn the offers down. :o

that's a dumb move of her/her agency. i'd rather do a few campaigns rather than a prada campaign with a million other models.

prada's girls dont leave a trademark in the industry like it used to be. actually most people can't even recall prada's models over the past few years bc there were too many.

^ I heard something like that before, and I'm only surprised about Versace. I know she's never done Milan castings because of the Prada exclusives, but she's done HC and she never walked for Versace.
She fits the other brands, and I hope she does campaigns for them in the future. She's done stuff for Céline before and she looked perfect.

I think she had to turn them down because she was already a Prada exclusive when those brands showed interest in her, so she couldn't do anything... I guess she and her agency didn't expect such a great beginning. But I do agree with you, concagon, being a Prada girl is not what it used to be anymore (besides, she never got an OG campaign with them). But I think in Vanessa's case, it's really paying off.

They were not confirmed though, they were only options that could have easily fallen through. No agency would turn down such a large number of blue chip campaigns for a Prada exclusive, but either way Meisel really wanted her so they went with what they knew they could confirm rather than a number of possibilities.

^i actually think its a smart thing to do, why should new girls score every campaign just because? She is expensive looking and exclusivity works for her brand. She has been an exclusive girl since she started even on the runway, why diminish that?

She isnt like the other Prada girls she has had three VI covers in a year, scored two Prada campaigns and she just got big. I dont think that hurt at all
