they look like villains in some movie set in Ireland! Not so good for a magazine cover

Love them all as actors but this looks more like it belongs in a Sunday newspaper magazine supplement than a cover for a major style publication like VF.

I wouldn't really consider Vanity fair a major "style" publication. Especially during a month like February.

yes! they all look like the male models posing for a Kohls or Target catalogue that comes with the newspaper on Sundays aka uncool dads

All boring and bland. Next month will be a group cover too, for the annual White Girls of Hollywood Issue.

I wouldn't really consider Vanity fair a major "style" publication. Especially during a month like February.

What I mean is that they have access to the top fashion photographers in the world and run fashion-centric covers almost every month, its not like they are Parade or Reader's Digest ... they could have given the glamour element to it, however I suppose its fitting given that its titled "Leading Men" ...

the dope work of leibovitz has seemingly become washed out; no matter who is on the cover, though great, the shots just seem boring now.

The cover and those man do nothing for me. Clooney literally puts me to sleep. It's an enigma for me how Leibovitz's work of the last years is approved for publication.
