The guy with the Buddy Holly glasses and Hunter look hot. This ed has the Meisel touch. Anyone remember the cover with multiple legs and arms? Hahahaha. Yeap, those were good times
Honestly I love it. It's fun, vibrant, something different. I really like the art direction, it's so stylised that it works for me and I'm glad they did that, embracing the fact they've (presumably) shot them all separately, and not trying to pretend otherwise.
I have mixed feelings about this cover and I feel that the 1st part (main cover) is the weakest, being Charlize’s styling the worse part. it’s completely out of place. it’s funny coz while waiting for this edition to come out I was checking the previous ones and... even if I would like to give Ferrari’s creativity a chance it feels rather underwhelming.

Not their worst Hollywood cover, but right up there. This one ticks all the pc boxes, so I'm sure it'll be lauded tho. Also, Zebdaya is not a great actress, she's just pretty, and fits a certain "aesthetic". Growing up I subscribed to this magazine, and it was glorious. Can't remember the last time I even glanced at it at the newststand.
Damn this is the magic we need to have Steven Meisel give us! Hunter is just so fun and interesting in both shots! Not gonna be mad if EJG becomes the next Meisel/Avedon copy-cat!
I feel like it could be so bad it looped back round to right? It’s weirdly camp and like a cut and paste job. It kind of amuses me. I’m not sure that was their intention, but still. I’m amused...
Do people still remember/care about the Hollywood Issue? It’s such a non event these days. Although even the SI Swimsuit Issue gets barely a mention in the news cycles these days so I suppose it par for course.
Hunter’s editorial is better displayed on EJG Instagram page and it’s terrific! if Ethan is gonna be Avedon’s grandson I’m cool with it. Meisel won’t last forever...
