Never knew there's two versions of the same campaign. I don't know if one is pre fall and the other f/w (members from "colletions" threads must know better). And we forget Menswear campaign, that should be in men's publications like Arena or Vogue Hommes/L'Uomo. Must be three different versions for that particular season. What a coincidence that I was remembering my life as a kid during that time, 2003/2004. I really liked Christina's new album at the moment (the now legendary "Stripped"). I used to spent time watching MTV to see "Fighter" bumping every hour. Love the fashion hints in that music video. I believe it belongs to Sophie Müller. Her work it's so polite, so beautiful, magic and there's toons of fashion references in her visuals. I start to like Christina from that moment, and I always thought she was better singer (by far) than Britney. Mrs. Spears is a better dancer though, the Janet type, and her visuals are majestics. She was more the Ritts girl and Christina fits well to Meisel.

Fighter was directed by Floria Sigismondi, equally beautiful as director. My bad.

Judging from my magazine collections, Christina's photos were printed only in September issues of that year. Whereas Amber's version could be seen in August and October issues (eyewear in November).

I absolutely hated this campaign and that’s sad because I loved the collection. I did not like the choice of Christina Aguilera nor did I like Amber’s shots. I forgot this campaign even existed.

Oddly enough, I've always liked Christina's face, don't know exactly why but there is something about her features and expressions that pleases my eyes while her beauty type isn't my usual cup of tea. So, I liked and still like this campaign and even saved a few pictures from it...

Bruno looks so different from his SS campaign early that year. Less sexier than that one.

Christina looked terrible in this campaign.
The no makeup, makeup look is tragic for her.
She looks high as a kite.

Disagree. This is one of her best looks. It was intended to give that alabaster skin and dewy type of look. It was very beautiful. It was later adopted as a visual direction/beauty aim for the work of so many other photographers many years later. Love that campaign. I hope Christina has those images blown up and framed in her home to this day.

I think she wears make-up by Pat McGrath. Christina talked about it in the Life In Looks Vogue video.
