Very Bizzare... (If you ask me)

I think it's obvious that this guy is using "I'm marrying myself" as an excuse to get things- presents- and attention. He feels like he's spent enough $$ on other people, and now it's his turn.

He says, "I'm not planning on getting married ANYTIME SOON"-- but I hope he realizes that what he's doing now is going to be in place of any wedding/presents in the future.

He also misses the point of marriage. People don't have a wedding "to get things." They have a wedding to declare their love and commit to eachother for life.

His intentions in marrying himself are clear: he wants stuff and he wants attention

Just for that I'd drop him as a friend for life.

Does anyone else see the potential in this? You get the wedding goodies, without having to do the hard work (like finding some idiot to marry you)Fabulous! :p
Hell, if it means getting free wedding presents, I'll do it!!
I'd register at Harvey Nichols, I'd get a rum cake with chocolate frosting and I'd honeymoon in Paris. If only...^_^

it's like in sex and the city when carrie registered at manolo blahnik so she could get her stolen shoes back

you beat me to it! that was my first thought as well.

This is probably a silly question, but if he ever decides to marry someone else, does he have to divorce himself?

i guess so^^

he actually said he was inspired by sex and the city!
