I live with a couple, and we have friends over all the time...my house has a revolving door and most of our friends are guys. I don't know many men who care for Lily, Lindsay and etc they want the Adriana's and the Ale's....they want the in your face sex appeal. It's lingerie for crying out loud, and sexy swimsuits. Most men don't care for the type of bodies the new girls have, hell most men don't even like Adriana and Ale's (they are still to thin) but they'd go for them more so. VS has a softer side, with their angel collection and etc. Adriana and Ale, along with when Gisele was around was able to show that they could be soft, and sexy, as well as come off as the girl next door. These girls IMO don't have the ability to go between the 3 very well, if at all. But tastes are different, but everyone needs to remember this is VS aka Lingerie, bras and panties, and swimwear we aren't trying to sell the best HF dress. But again different tastes.
Also notice Candice is the new "IT" girl, she's sexy...in your face sexy, and she's everywhere. VS hasn't pulled back on their sexiness and they aren't going to any time soon. Erin, Lindsay, Lily and etc all entered VS around the same time...and which one has been the biggest hit? Candice. She follows the same lines as Adriana, Ale, and others did before her.

^ Totally agree. We've already seen Lily, Erin, and Lindsay try to do sexy (GQ spread). It totally failed and seemed way to try hard. They don't have that sex appeal that the older models have.

Adriana andAle, although very sexy, DO have soft sides. If you've seen Adriana's valentine's campaign you'd see. Candice too. I think Ale is the perfect balance too.

Erin, Lily, Chanel are only stuck in one mode.

If Lily was such an amazing angel then why did she have an unsuccessful meet and greet?

#1 - Who said anything about amazing? I said I like her. I didn't say she didn't have room for improvement.

That picture was clearly misleading. VS themselves posted these pictures on their site. It seemed to be deliberate too, like a direct contradiction to the one that was posted here. Lily's event wasn't unsuccessful. Lily and Lindsay seem to have had similar turn-outs from the pictures I've seen of their launches, but Lily got far more press from hers.

It's funny. You "like" Lily in her thread, but you bash her in here.

Wrong. Lindsay had her first crack at it in the summer of 2008 before VS forgot about her. Erin made her main debut in February of 2009 with Valentine's Day. Lily started being truly promoted late last fall when she did her Biofit commercial. She didn't even get in the All Access site until November. It's only been six months since she started doing events and they started promoting her as one of their angels. And let's be serious - none of the new models have been promoted to the extent that Candice was. It'd be nice if every model had the luxury of being forced down your throat the way she was.

For me, VS models have to be the women that have it ALL.

Thankfully VS is focusing on more than just making sure they have models that are good wank material for a bunch of random guys.

As for entered I meant Runway, and when all started really working with the company which was between 07-08 Lily being the late one. As for "entering" the all access site, I wouldn't count that as anything. Considering that they still have Heidi and Marisa up there.

As for the "wank" material comment...I'm sorry I thought we were above junior high type of speaking.
In terms of women a lot of women like Adriana and Alessandra better as well, most women aren't getting the appeal of the new girls either. In general most people aren't. It's not just men.

Correcting myself since I can't edit anymore, but I mean Lindsay was summer of 2009 with BBV with Marisa and company. Erin was February of 2010. Lily first major event was September of 2010 - just six months ago. The fact remains that they didn't all enter around the same time.

Yes her major event was September correct but she (as well as Lindsay, Erin, Candice and Chanel) all entered around the same time. Candice debuted in Catalog and Runway in 07, Erin was 08 Runway, and 07 print, Lindsay was 07 Runway and Print, and Chanel was 08 print and 09 in Runway. Lily was the late one with both premieres being in 09. That's what I mean by enter....not their first launch. Heck if that was the case you couldn't compare Adriana and Ale who both entered in the 1999-2000 genre, but Adriana's first launch was in 01, and Ale's was 04.

CC pretty much summed up my thoughts. And regarding Lily's launch, if it's true that VS asked people and begged them to come into the store then that is pathetic. If it was any other angel doing a launch then the line would NEVER be empty. Period. People line up like 2 hours in advance! *I've been to 2 launches btw

I see that with Rosie (her lips), but Candice looks like a wholesome good girl. I don't see anything playboy about her.

but the problem i see with the VS girls is that they seem to pick the girls who seemingly pop up out of nowhere. Honestly, before VS I have never heard of Lily A.

Just as you don't know if that guy's comments are true, you don't even know what time that picture was taken. It could have been taken that morning for all you know. There's a pile full of doubt there, and you're still using that as the basis of your argument against Lily. Victoria's Secret themselves have posted proof that people showed up for Lily's solo event.
