Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture S/S 2015 Paris

Well, at least it is better than what they did the last time ........... I guess.

So impressive !! I admit some dresses are a bot too much  , but this is haute couture. Love it so much :)

Just my feeling, but when i look at this collection i feel like i just clicked in a thread since 2002.

^although in 2002,a collection like this would be much better

They are so out of touch it's sad. They got lost a long time ago and can't find their way. Maybe they should change profession or maybe break up.

A wonderful move back towards the fun and whimsy that once dominated their work. This feels like a flight of fancy, the prints are so great. Not my favorite Viktor & Rolf collection, but I enjoy this so much more than the more somber mood of some of their previous couture showings. This feels lively, like a little jaunt to the islands in the middle of winter.

yikes. what is happening with these two? they used to be amazing, and now...

sad what has happened to them

they just put out crap after crap now

I strongly disagree with most of the negativity here, I think its a step in the right direction. Its too easy dismissing this as another failed attempt really. I actually cracked a smile again in a Viktor and Rolf thread for the first time since their Credit crunch couture-cracked out ball gowns, S/S 10 I believe it was. Some of this is really spectacular. Cant wait to see details.

I, too, think it's a step in the right direction. It really is reminiscing of their old work, and it's too bad that their old work feels a little out of touch with current trends, because it looks so much beter than whatever it is that they've been trying to do recently. This feels far more authentic, more liberated. I think things wil look up for them if they continue doing what they want to do.

I actually like this a lot. I've been missing the spark and theatrics from these guys because their RTW line has become a bore.

it definitely reminds me of Dior HC SS 01 when Galliano did those wild baby doll dresses. But the colors are beautiful here, it's a very bucolic, hot lazy summer day vibe that I get. They've officially brought summer. I love everything about it.

They are always gimmicky, but its the technique that makes their collections. I quite like the gimmick of the floral pattern becoming 3D flowers, its whimsical. What are the flowers made of? Does anyone know?

^I believe most of them made of the fabric of the garments and the rest made of plaited bamboo.

Yes, they are made from the initial fabrics, which, according to WWD, were supplied and printed by Vlisco.

I like the "a gust of wind blew my dress" idea and that it´s reminiscent of their 2010 collection (in terms of shapes). Best collection in a long time imo :)

I think it's interesting, definitely more interesting than their first couple of collections in Couture. I like the peasant's dress inspiration and you can see their Dutch heritage... I'd like to see more of that kind of extravaganza

I actually really like this! Couture this season seems to have a floral influence and I love all the pieces with the flower embroidery sticking out. Obviously many of these pieces are impractical to wear but then again I read that V&R couture isn't actually meant to be worn and bought. Pleasantly surprised...:)
