Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall” and Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time,” remade coolly by Joan As Police Woman, played on Viktor & Rolf's spring soundtrack.

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren couldn't have picked a more suitable music mix: They worked a rebel schoolgirl theme with playful charm for spring.

The designers deconstructed the classic school uniform — navy blazer, crisp white shirt and pleated skirt — in myriad ways. Some were more tame — the navy jacket with a school badge and white piping — others, more experimental, i.e., an asymmetrical dress, its bodice made of half a jacket. Skirts with bold geometric pleats flirted with the designers' more eccentric leanings. Those looks aside, this season favored a more commercial appeal, with a contemporary touch.

The standout — a fun graffiti T-shirt with a silver-studded collar, teamed with Bermuda shorts — demonstrated a punkish streak. The headmaster better look the other way.

Wow, very safe of them, that's why I find it kind of boring.

When they actually do go at playfully deconstructing the school uniform, this is truly quite fun, for example in looks 1 or 21, which are great! However, throughout much of the collection that reference is rather vague and so it comes across as conservative as the uniform itself, reconstructing as opposed to deconstructing.

I love it when they experiment with the button down shirt and mens suiting. its very wearable.

It's wonderfully cut and much more wearable.. but it looks a little Thom Browne.

I know they have to sell...but there is a middle-ground between going on hardcore avant-garde; and just creating an average department store collection...

This seems like what they have in their shop front anyways, which is not bad, minus the theatrics from before, these clothes are nicely tailored, wearable pieces with a certain twist.
