"lets make money" seems to be the new mandra at the V&R camp, i bet they will.
Their new collection was well co-ordinated, light, very well styled and ready to please their more 'mature' -read $$rich- customer.

one thing I know, i've got to get a pair of bright red shoes
the sooner the better

i must say i adore their idea for evening -here at Maria Carla- with this long assymetrical blouse over a pair of classic trousers, hmm très chic

i love it. i don't really care if it's commercial or not, in the end what matters to me are the clothes and these are lovely. imo

I'm not keen on this fresh commercial attempt. Everything looks like its been done before-done a million times by other designers already. Quite bland and mundane really. But not surprising considering all things they're doing now. I guess we'll be seeing every rich socialite wearing this stuff very soon!!

Quite dissapointing.

I think people were expecting electrifying ideas, but commerciality seems on their mind. Last season, they were able to balance their out-of-proportion ideas and commerciality, but what makes this collection dissapointing is they recycled classic V&R ideas.

Still, there were alot of good pieces, but people were expecting more.

Love the red shoes, love this dress!

i kind of feel the same way. OK, they had very original collections in the past, and really stood out from the pack. may be i'm wrong, but i just don't remember seeing their stuff on many people except for their muse Tilda Swinton . I saw their shirts & pants from last seasons in Century 21, and everything just looked HUGE & kind of masculine, although impeccably cut.

This collection may be more commercial, but to someone like me who just wear clothes but does not design them, this one is actually more inspiring B) I find their sense of color & proportion super appealing.
