I think Japan and Hong Kong carry a lot of Vivienne Westwood, I see a lot of people with that tartan pattern in their outfits and Im sure Vivienne Westwood has inspired their punk style.

anyone feel the Dior thievery on the argyle bags (mean Dior stole from Viv, not the other way around... I am sure)? the golf collection is exactly like them.

oh yeah...totally feeling you on that one..
but i have to say...a lot of her stuff used to be VERY difficult to wear ...and now she's been managing to keep her original vibe but tone it down just enough to make it passable in the mainstream...so i am glad about that...

especially because it means more sales for her...and i wish her success...

the gold label-runway-collection is still really out there and has all of her original eccentricities intact...

and i so agree with you ocean... both galliano and mcqueen regularly mine viv's archives for material...i think they both admit it pretty openly though...
they both grew up around the punk movement in london and i am sure viv is a HUGE reason that they are designers today...

that's another reason i am happy to see viv have success...she really is the true 'original'... B)

Vivienne Westwood 'Jackie' Bag

OK everyone I REALLY need help. I NEED this bag. http://www.viviennewestwood.com/flash.php

it is the middle pic of the bags (second line down) in the bags and gadgets s/s 05 section. Style is called JACKIE, I really want the acqua tote in the centre. They had one in Cruise in newcastle, I went to buy it today and it had been sold half an hour previously, gutted! I've checked hervia.com, and I checked conduit st vivienne westwood and liberty when i was in london. nowhere so far has it in stock. Does anyone have suggestions as to where I can find it? either online or in a shop. Any info appreciated!
