I'm not sure where to place this link (re-post in a more appropriate forum if you link!). It's a video of a BBC interview with Vivienne in which she talks about the ill effects of fashion's consumption patterns and what we (Londoners, specifically), can do to help counteract it. Theme of the interview is anthropogenic (human-caused) climate change.
what i like about labels like Vivienne Westwood (and unsurprisingly Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc) is that ultimate consistency and honesty about what it is they want to translate through their advertising campaigns. it has such a great dose of irony and we-do-not-care-ness that connects with the brand image itself so well, i don't get the feeling of something gimmicky at all. it's classy in its very own f***ed-up way.
besides i'm more than happy for ms Cotliar. at least they had a big fun shooting this.
