Vivienne Westwood S/S 2015 Paris

Typical Westwood I find it's generic to me.It's reach her standard but not really groundbreaking anymore.

I see many things I like here. I want this purple sweater in my life. I wouldn't ever call her work "generic" just because it's so recognizable. I think she always comes up with some very interesting new ideas and I'm not really sure when fashion people stopped giving her the attention she deserves, because this is all still miles better than most other stuff we see on the runways these days.

^ agreed psylocke. (awesome sweater xo)

i love, too, that she injects sexiness and femininity into her clothes, as well as a sense of play. she's a stalwart in the industry as well as a maverick. she deserves WAY more credit than she gets. totally!

I agree she is very underappreciated. Theres always been a historic reference in her work that I adore and the cape and trousers need to find there way to me.

I'll always love Viv. I think part of what excites me about her collections is that there's such veracity and conviction in her designs.. one almost can't help but applaud. She tends to reference similar things - climate change, heritage etc - but they are all integral to her aesthetic. She has shaped her design aesthetic around her philosophies, which I find admirable of any designer.
Also, the knitwear. I find myself so drawn to the knits...

I love the way she uses references and brings back the old stuff to the modernity with a twist. The makeup and the cast is always brilliant. So refreshing with a personality/character that shines through.
