Vogue Arabia October 2019 : Ugbad Abdi by Peter Lindbergh

Of all the photos they were given...

What’s with that headpiece?

Well, I'll wait for the other covers because this one doesn't work. The headpiece looks like it's pulling her hairline, very uncomfortable.

What a face! She's drop dead gorgeous. But unfortunately I agree the headpiece looks too tight and uncomfortable.
For some reason I immediately thought about Alaïa when I saw the cover.

This is what happens when you want to milk a great photographer's death, and then you use photos form an editorial, that were not meant for the cover, and it shows.

With a little editing on the first cover, it could've been way better. However, I liked the preview much more and as a ''special issue'' dedicated to Lindbergh I believe that one cover alone would've been sufficient and much more effective. When you make three and none of them are quite good, it's really pointless. Wondering if the third cover will be the preview photo or something else...
Also wondering about other magazine's tributes, Vogue Germany and US specially. Vogue Germany did a nice tribute for Karl, hopefully they'll do the same for Peter. But I don't really remember Anna doing anything big for Karl? Hopefully she dedicates some pages to Peter instead of her god awful new wave of photographers and models without any modelling skills. Vogue Italia shouldn't even bother because I really don't want to see Peter's images ruined by Verderi's disgusting craft projects.

Your tribute to a late photographer is a cover that shows how he recycles his own ideas? Come on. Vogue Italia’s Walking cover is waving.

the teaser cover had more impact.

I guess the 3rd cover is the best? There's a very fresh-faced youthful vibe about it which I like. Overall this is a very lacklustre reveal and they really should've just released the lot in one go instead of trying to build hype around it.

The fourth cover is ruined by that white masthead

Thanks gods, they not wasted 4th photo on preview only and used it as a real cover as well. Love it so much and it is even better with white masthead
