Just some of the highlights in this issue include...

SHOW TIME
Aussie rules
Maticevski’s tattered tulle, Scanlan and Theodore’s colour-soaked statements, Josh Goot’s sporty simplicity and Lover’s delicate ivory lace are just a few of our favourite themes from 2005’s Mercedes Australian Fashion Week. Here, we offer you a front row seat.

STAR TURN
Holiday style
Whether you’re jetting off to a chic beach resort, a European harbour playground or a bustling Asian city, this season’s essential gypsy skirts and floor-skimming dresses, in a riot of bright hues, are suitcase essentials.

WILD AT HEART
Exotic coral
Fashion’s flirtation with bohemian looks has led to a hot new dalliance with the marine scene: coral. A bold red lip, striking jewels and a spiky outcrop of coral make up resort’s most exotic statement.

Wow it seems like Gisele's editorial in Vogue Nippon got reprinted. That's on my must-buy list!

^on mine too!! i usually don't buy the australian edition because of its many reprints from other vogue mags, but the cover alone is too gorgeous!!

I'm not sure if you are familiar with the magazine RUSSH, but the 'Wild at Heart' shoot looks really similar to one of its editorials in a recent issue. Similar styling and lighting.... i was a bit shocked and hoping it was purely coincidental.
I liked the spreads featuring Aussie Designers clothing but the recent issues of Vogue have been really boring to me. :P

I don't think I'll buy it, I'm not a fan of Australia's Vogue, but this issue has to be interestin :) Thanks Ania! Karolina looks gorg.!!

Just read it and not impressed. I'm not the biggest fan of Australian Vogue but the June issue with Rose Byrne is really good so get that one instead.

It's really thin and considering it's winter in Australia the cover doesn't suit and neither does the Gisele spread.

I only thing I liked was the Girl of the Moment page of Diane Kurger. I'm really starting to like her style.

3/10

I disagree. I really like the Gisele spread (even though it's totally out of season for the australian weather) and the editorial with the freckled model is great and the focus they had on australian fashion is better than usual Great clothing choice, great style!
But i've never really been a fan of Australian Vogue - the Luca cover last month was great though! :flower: But inside was a bit disappointing!

Just went through Australian Vogue, here’s what I thought:
Hot list:
Toni Maticevski is the hottest designer in MAFW.
“African Queen” – ethnic jewels with tribal prints and safari styles are cool!
“Sea Dreams” – coral jewellery is cool!
“Full Circle” – go get a full circle skirt!
“On the Wedge” – Wedges Rock Totally.
“Rocking the Kasbah” – Caftans are hot, esp. ones designed by Camilla Frank as named by Aussie Vogue.

Articles:

“Sonia Rykiel” – she named Maggie Cheung, Madonna and Audrey Tautou as her greatest clients! Wow…
“Buddha and the Box Office” – about the difficulty in showing a film festival around in Mongolia and the satisfaction the writer gets after showing it.
“Bad is Back” – dress bad to outrage others!
“Show time” – showcases top pieces from various Australian designers. But who is that model?
“Return of the emperor” – Makeup brand Napolean’s (Perdis) plan to conquer America. (in progress)
“Day Spa Etiquette” – don’t wear high heels on the day of treatment!
“The Hunger Strike” – Fasting to learn to appreciate the things around you more, ie food, friends and jobs.
“Shall we dance?” – About Australian/Japanese designer Akira Isogawa’s collaboration with Sydney Dance Company to design costumes for a stage production. Sounds very impressive.
“Pop Politics” – Fashion gets political with slogan TShirts, ie “Dior not war”. Only get TShirts with political statement with the designer/company are donating part of the money to the cause.
“Paris match” – Shoe designer Christian Louboutin’s apartment in Paris. It’s beautiful. I love it.
“Feeling Groovey” – Portobello Village in London is hot, coz Kate Moss shops there!
“Jewel of the Isle” – Jade Jagger’s home in Ibiza. This article bored me up, probably because I was so jealous! and Jagger actually designs for Garrard? :o
