*not sure if this is the full ed.

Hey Bianca - I think there might be an editorial in there with a model named Anna Schilling...if there is would you do me the favor of scanning it? :flower:

I like the cover ok. It just doesnt really say Vogue to me. More like Nylon or street style website. except I dont know what the heck that thing is around her neck but i feel she's channeling Flavor Flav. anyhow its an ok look. just a little...cheap?

Love the cover, despite being a reprint.

crap crap CRAP

I'm so tired of Vogue Aus and their antics. They steal editorials and that is just pure hypocrisy considerig they should be a LEADER of style and fashion

I stopped buying it and now I buy the International Vogues - what about everyone else??

it's not available in germany...

buy always german
and sometimes paris, uk, us, spain, italy, nippon, russia

the only vogue australia i've boughten is the one where gemma was the guest editor. i don't even bother to flip through them in the bookstore, they're alway's so awful.

I saw it in Germany when I was there - in Berlin. I can't remember the name of the bookstore but its near the Riechstag (sp?) and its red :innocent:

I don't know about everyone else, but I've come to expect and even accept the use of old editorials in Vogue Australia. It's something we're all going to have to get used to at some point or another.

^ Exactly

I'm actually finding the constant complaining and moaning about reprints, more annoying than the actual reprints.

:innocent:

Almost ALL of the smaller Vogues use reprints, Aus isn't the only offender. And at least it's an editorial that isn't old from months ago, it's incredibly recent.

Hey, I don't agree with you, sorry :(. Yes Brazilian Vogue use re-prints from US or UK vogue, but they use one or twice times in all issues in year; and all the staff shots interesting cover all over the year. Our lastest re-print cover it was in november or december 2005. And Australian Vogue make all re-print issue every month, and guess? we're tired of it!

I hate the cover :yuk:, but I like the yellow jacket.

Not every month. See the list of original/non-original covers here.
The last year has been particularly bad though, I won't deny that. But it is something I accept.

Not sure about Nov, but we can assume Dec will be an original cover since it's the guest editor issue.

Well, I saw the link and I don't believe that more than 50% of the Aus 2007 covers are re-prints!

And, Bianca I really know that we have a special thread about Brazilian covers archive... I´ll try find it and post here until tomorrow. But when I said "Australian Vogue make all re-print issue every month" it's not just from Cover, i'm talking about a lot of articles and eds. from US and UK Vogue.

Here the Aus Vogue its very expansive but I try buy sometimes. Now they are with Caroline Trentini may 2007 issue in the bookstores. :(

its not VOGUE though - as much as I hate it. Its the management or the people that OWN Vogue - they don't give them enough funding. So they can only shoot unknown models - and lets face it - newbies don't sell covers. They new high-profile stars to sell their magazine and unfortunately they cant afford them.

Oh and plus famous photographers! Thats a whole other issue :innocent:

That's what I meant too, when I said that other vogues use reprints, I didn't specifically mean only the covers.

I think Australia and Greece are prob definitely the worst when it comes to reprint covers. Brazil's covers are good and they have access to many great top models, whereas in the big scheme of things, Australian models aren't that well known/celebrated enough to sell copies compared to for example US celebrities  (Which I think of course, only reinforces the problem...if the local models were more celebrated by the mag people would overtime celebrate them too and buy!) But oh well...

Australia only usually have one reprint fashion ed per issue though, with 2-3 original eds.
Kinda like Brazil, right? I just had a quick look at some of the Brazil issue threads, and most of them have 1-2 reprints from US Vogues in them too.

Anyway, we can probably repeat and continue this discussion next month!
