I LOVE Naomi, but her all her covers from the past what five years have been really stiff, lackluster and drab. I think what it is that we are seeing TOO much of her on covers and the runway and she's losing her allure of being NAOMI!! She needs to step away for a good six months or so and just attend shows and maybe do only the BIG 4 Vogues when they call. Her energy is not giving.

Naomi is one of those icons, that some just hate on sight. Nothing she does will ever be good enough.
This cover is nice, but would be a hundred times better imo, without the hat.

As a Black model in her 50's, she stays booked and busy, so I'm always gonna give it up to her. She blazed the trail, and doesn't need to give anything extra at this point in her career.

Nobody was hating her on sight during the days of Baby Omi, and when she was modelling during the 90s - there was nothing to hate and a lot to love.

But these days, her name should be used as a shorthand for people who get away with decades of disrespect and downright shady - if not illegal - behaviour. There are a lot of people who have been cancelled for a lot less than what Naomi's been involved with... she must know where all the bodies are buried.

If her current modelling was exceptional, we could talk about her in those terms alone, but it isn't. It's like she turns up... and considers that as modelling at the highest level. But going by her long-standing reputation of never turning up on time, maybe she does consider "turning up" to be her doing something exceptional.

She's really a fashion icon, and made it into the top 10 of greatest fashion models ever. The sad news that lately a non-stop series of unfortunate events damage her legacy among her pairs and part of the fashion industry, the trouble with law and her connections to subjects under investigation is something delicate and maybe this isn't the right place to talk about it. Even that, she's the proof that cancel culture around some personality can't last forever. Can we separate the artist (model in this case) from the person? Her photos are so beautiful and her runway walk is unforgettable. I hope she takes distance from problems for the sake of her long and inspiring career as a model and public personality.

She's made of Teflon, though, and I almost have to respect her refusal to step away for a moment. Shame she is incapable of delivering a compelling photo these days.
