Vogue Brazil March 2016 : Ari Westphal by Paulo Vainer

I don't think the angle works for a cover, but at least it's something different for Vogue Brazil. And I'll always welcome fresh blood.

Similar fro to last month issue, Ari looks beautiful though.

I´ve seen that wig before ... :shifty:

If you google her you will be able to see it's her haircut. In fact, it has been a quite strong success factor for her here in Brazil.

Not a fan of the styling but I'm always happy to see a new face on the cover, which doesn't happen quite often when it comes to them.

I like the shot but not for a cover and the hair just looks too fake.

I don´t like the styling but I like the idea for the cover. Even though the hair is real, it looks fake and it ends up being distracting imo.

Pedro Sales is the absolute worst stylist out there today. He is single handedly responsible for some of the worst Vogue Brazil covers in the past couple of years.

I like that they try something different and the layout works for me but the styling and the angle of her face: nope.

I thought Alessandra will be the cover girl for march...

^ she shot in December, shoots are typically published 3 months later so I anticipate she'll have the April cover.

I know the hair is real, but it's the way they styled it, the volume, the too-perfect curls, that make it look fake. Aside from that, the idea as a whole, to shoot her in the car seat, is pretty good for VB standards. Even the Gucci dress I think it works here. Unless they change the EIC and take a whole new direction, I don't think they can do much better. (And I don't think Brazil has someone in the field with vision enough to step up VB's game...)
