I’m happy to see Indira land a cover.
Fernanda Ly’s name is on the cover as well, I wonder if she’ll have her own?
Well that was unexpected. Happy for Indria. However not crazy over this image.
This image does nothing for me:
- blank stare
- questionable makeup
- I don't see the versatility in her but love the necklace lol
Is this the first issue under Margaret Zhang direction?
Kinda bland despite that orange make up. Very happy Indira though, girl has a very cool and breezy vibe.
Very US Vogue. Anna's touch is very patent
how random #notmyvoguechina
She looks really nice here, but it is indeed quite bland.
She doesn't even look like a model. Is she having stomach problems? Sweetie needs endoscopy.
And so it begins...
The beginning of the downfall... Another great magazine being destroyed
The cover is ok for US Vogue.
This is US Vogue level bad.
is this the first issue done by the new editor in chief?
OMG.. what is that background ??
This is not a magazine cover, sorry! Looks like something plucked off a lifestyle influencer's IG feed.
Even the makeup which actually looks interesting is almost washed out in this shot.
I'm just going to go there. Happy for Indira scoring her first Vogue cover, but I find the casting so random. Indira is to my knowledge the 3rd black person to front the cover of Vogue China in its 16 year run, after Naomi (OG) and Imaan (MG). This cover once again shows how out of touch Anna is with what this magazine is about. Vogue China is all about prestige. The best models, best photographers, best brands...because they have to sell to a wide audience. So with that in mind, why not Adut or (though I may not care for her) Anok, Sacha, Precious, who are very famous fashion models which Vogue China readers will likely see in campaigns in the magazine? Surely that would give Vogue China readers a sort of scope of the now-models beyond their little bubble? I doubt they will respond well to this cover especially when they find out she never even appeared on a Vogue cover before or the very limited amount of campaigns she has booked.
Anyway, I suspect it won't even be an OG cover because I see Fernanda Ly's name underneath hers as well.
It's not a bad image by any means, just incredibly boring. I mean her expression really says it all.
If Anna’s fingerprinted are all over this that explains why Indira booked the cover. She’s been featured in American Vogue over the past few years, and if I remember it’s really the only magazine where she appears in editorials. Did she book the Vogue multi cover last year or did she only have an editorial inside?
You got stomachache, girl?
