That’s a lovely picture. Would’ve been nice if she looked into the camera.
I love it! Everytime they put Penelope on the cover is sublime!
I didn't expect this. This isn't a side of Penelope we often see. But I like her serene expression and as always she's stunning.
I love Rosalia's music and she has interesting visuals so I look forward to seeing her pictures.
It's been a long time since I've seen Vogue España get it right like this. She looks like royalty.
Not sure about it. I very much prefer her recent Marie Claire cover to this.
She looks like a bourgeoise...
I kinda like it!
It’s like if she takes this status of being an ambassador as an acting gig.
It’s quite interesting compared to a lot of brand ambassadors...
They made her look old, and like a 60s housewife, and people like this? OK...
Right? Looks to me like one of a series of candids taken from a Franco-era period movie. Not exactly Vogue cover material. That's what happens when the same face gets the cover over and over and over again. Eventually you'll run out of ideas.
So boring and uneventful. What´s this??? She looks like a boring housewife, the fashion is not that exciting either for a cover and a direct eye contact would have helped too. Lindbergh style is really not that imaginative anyways, we´ve seen this a thousand times and when it´s not that type of portraits, it´s the studio setting on a beach in black and white with models and actresses faking emotions lol how groundbreaking! He´s not the worst photographer but I don´t see the special element in him in comparison to other photographers. As for Penelope lol can she still remind us that she is an actress? She barely acts nowadays and does commercial ads and goes to fashion events.
I must admit that I initially found it too conservative and bourgeois for my taste - I also much prefer her Marie-Claire cover. I like that they didn't try to make her look young and sexy though.
She hasn't stopped acting but has mainly been making movies in Spain since she had children, she's just done an Almodovar movie. And she also played Donatella in a US TV series last year.
My thoughts exactly. Always a major bugbear of mine whenever there’s zero eye contact on a cover. However, the colours are gorgeous and it’s Penelope Cruz, so I was immediately smitten nevertheless.
I love it! I Think it's refreshing and she looks stunning.. yes older, but I don't think she looks bad... I do wish she was looking at the cover but the colors and pose are great.. makes me want this issue!
This is one of Peter Lindbergh's best portraits. Very cinematic, and Penelope looks stunning. Those saying she looks old, don't know what old is. She looks like a beautiful woman in her 40's, which is what she is. Bravo to Peter, and his unrelenting battle against the tyranny of photoshop.
LOL She did Donatella movie a long time ago and I live in Spain where people hate her for her demeanor towards Spanish people and media; having children is not incompatible with making movies. Doing an Almodovar movie once in a while does not a hard working movie actress make. She just has gone lazy with time so is this cover. NEXT !
^ American Crime Story's season with Penelope was literally a year ago.
Her being hated in Spain is news to me. I'm surprised, I was convinced she was a national treasure.
She's been working non-stop since she was a teenager; now that she has children, it's kinda natural for her to slow down if she can afford it. She'll probably make a "comeback" at some point.
This is a perfect cover. Really no major gripes to be had here.
