I just realized what the magazine reminds me of now: an "elevated" version of mid-2010s Jalouse.

The Bourdin reprint is both the only interesting thing in this issue and a reminder of how embarrassing this publication has become.
The eds are awful. I just hate fashion photography nowadays. It's so flat, dull and artificial.

28 Femmes is like a punch in the gut, so reminiscent of what Vogue Paris used to do (and do very well) while so effectively highlighting the abysmal state of magazines and fashion photography now. It's all so very bad looking, from clothes to the majority of the 28 Femmes.

This is the closests we will be from what Vogue Paris used to do in february and august.

Sorrenti's edit has a few decent fashion pictures (perhaps the shots of Anok and Bibi) but I hate the beauty shots and overall it feels quite joyless to me, but that's no surprise given McKimm's contributions; he's very overrated and inconsistent at best. In fact this looks like a budget i-D editorial from circa 2021 and we all know i-D didn't have much budget in the first place .
