Vogue Germany June 2023 : Paloma Elsesser by Oliver Hadlee Pearch

She feels like she's having a smidge more fun than everyone else on these 'journey' covers, but all the people on the train are thinking that's a lady standing on a planter, just to get the angle right for social media.

I like what she's wearing, but the background chosen could have been a bit more... finished?

Was the thought process: "If we can't include a train - any train - into the image, how will anyone know this issue is about journeys?"

it’s good if only she wasn’t standing on top of a huge vase…

Quite better than their previous covers this year, though I have to admit that Paloma is a one-trick pony when it comes to modeling.

I like her facial expression and posing! Skills that miss in almost all models nowadays, but well, as ya'll said, weird set and I'd add that this golden flat could be worn IRL but for a cover I didn't love

Seems like June is all about trains over at Conde Nast. This and Nora's are the worst of the bunch.

They should have stopped the train and ask Anok to pose instead of Paloma. Another day, another awful cover from Vogue Germany.

The pink building is gorgeous! That’s it for me.
I was going to say ‘The Germans never had any proper taste in fashion so this is true to form for them’. Then I saw the credits.

I actually blame all of this on Edward Enninful and the fashion crew tells me he is micromanaging all these Euro Vogues now. Too much of a coincidence that his faves are booking such covers.

When all is said and done, I suppose Paloma can claim another OG cover?
