most of them are actually good...it's hard to pick
i was so confused between the December Cover and the P.Lindbergh one but i chose the Peter Lindbergh cover! : )
Julia's cover was gorgeous - it got my vote. I still really like Edita's and Katrin's.
Luca Gadjus & Karolin Wolter
I like them all... but i picked Luca and Karolin, i appreciate multigirls cover.
It's a hard choice between December and Doutzen's for me
February. Masha looked stunning. But I loved January, May, July, August and December.
love february and december really, really much but i vote for luca&karolin
Amazing covers, cant really choose!! But I'll go with Toni.
Masha for me
I like all covers but I would say Luca & Karolin
Looking to this covers and it looks Vogue Germany doesn't have it's own style for covers (not only about model choices or poses but with text placemnet or backgrounds).
For example we know VN's style - always with white background and always models of the moment
UK Vogue - Simple and Gorgeous, VP - Always glamorous and amazing, VI - always creative and knda art-covers.
It's good they're using different styles for each issue, but IMO they still searching and couldn't guess which to prefer. But it's ONLY my opininon.
Thank god they dont have a formula, and every of their cover is unpredictable, and i dont think its the case of them "searching", the magazine has been around for to long to do that, its just how VD is.
Voted for Masha, great year for them, cover wise, but had some cheese issues in there!
Tony for me, the best cover
I see what you mean, but I think that they actually do have their own style - it's something I can't quite put my finger on, something to so with their distinctive use of colour, and something else (a kind of vintage feel I think). I think rather than not have their own style, they don't have a formula (like Vogues Nippon or UK)...
I voted for December's - it has a special, arresting quality that makes it stand out from the crowd. I also love Doutzen's, but the anniversary covers were a bit of a dud
Also, no celebrities (except for Heidi, kinda). wow
Oh yes I meant formula and not style. Thanks LegBaby.
Masha's is the one that most appeals to me, I like that 'wild woman' look.
i'm pretty torn between Doutzen's (for the cover shot, the layout and text overload is extremely distracting and doesn't work well with the image..almost looks like a Vogue China cover..which is a horrible thing IMO), Julia's cover, which is very chic and glamourous, and most striking at first glance and Luca & Karolin's cover which is just most innovative and fresh (i guess it's mostly because it's the latest issue, though). Edita's cover is pretty, but of course it's a pretty shot of a pretty girl. . .a bit too direct for my taste; same case with Toni's, even though i like her's more. Isabeli, Masha, Arlenis and Anja's covers are just ugly. . .period. Suprisingly, Heidi's cover shot proves strong and very classic, juxtaposed with the rest of the images this year. Katrin's cover is lovely, but that's mostly because it's just Katrin I really have no opinion on the anniversary issue covers. . .i guess it was a nice, safe idea. On cover style, I agree with a few previous comments; VG seems to be lacking identity a bit. . .some of the covers are a little Vogue China meets Vogue Spain, with an Italian Vogue twist.
Overall, a good year for VG. Not great, a few flops, but they ended on a strong note.
