nope nope nope, this is not itally....
Even though I liked the cover of their May issue this year, but I still cant get over this kind of aesthetic on VI, it's like a Pop/i-D/Dazed rip-off.
The digital edition's out already and there's literally nothing of interest inside, except maybe the feature on rising italian photographers which introduced me to a couple of new names. Lara's ed is just 8 pages and the "main" story is titled "Hedi Slimane California" which should give you an idea (portraits of various artists and street casts).
I don't mind the cover as such, but yeah it's basically your run of the mill Dazed cover.
The most overrated model of all times... for the last 5 years she's been giving us this conctepated face...
I´m over 90s photography, when can we go back to 2000s glamour?
The first cover is great. Very Vogue Italia actually...
Not a fan of the second cover...I'm kinda surprised by Celine getting all those covers this year. It's just forgettable.
I love Lara but i feel like certain models don't have that much to offer anymore. She is a bit like Kate Moss and some others in that department...
It's weird because i get excited when i read Natasha Poly who IMO is a much more complete model.
I guess it will comeback soon. The 90's have been used and over-used...People will be nostalgic about the early 00's.
I'm ready for all the tackiness of the 00's to comeback...Such a fun time.
so its a fold out cover. CK coat is the main one and Celine is on next 3 pieces
Both covers are nothing special, the 2nd cover is a little better even if it's not great.
Thanks a lot ! Love this Lara's ed
I have mixed feelings toward the first cover... At first I hated it. But now seeing in better quality, I think it's not that bad. Her eyes are beautiful.
Second cover is extremely unnecessary, basic and boring.
I'm always looking forward to see the editorials.
Coupled with the preview this pale yellow cover is growing on me. The juxtaposition of Lara's natural glamour and sensuality against Harley's nu-nineties stark aesthetic works here. Esp in the context of Raf's CK being cover-featured. Congrats to Weir.
the colors are so beautiful!! love both covers
Happy for Lara, but no...
I really like this cover (I don't think the second picture is an actual cover). It's hands down the best cover I've seen from VI this year.
The July cover was that Meisel trainwreck of a recycled shot. June we had the orangy plastic not so fantastic of Bella with her face covered by the logo. May was the second best in my opinion, with Anna being Anna and a "lukewarm" b&w shot. April was a dull student test shoot helped by a finalist from an European styling school. I don't even know what to say about March as it was hands down one of the worst covers I've seen from VI in years. And so on and so on.
So looking back... this is great.
What horrible covers, smh!! What is this even? Like others said, it looks like Dazed or some other nonsense, no identity in this magazine!! Also Lara really brought nothing here, such unflattering shots of her!
this is all of Lara's ed
I had a look at the entire magazine and to me its an absolute snoozefest

Loving these covers. So happy to see a new style moving away from the dated, over glossy nouveau luxury style certain people seem to cling onto. More power to the refreshed Vogue Italia.
