Vogue Italia December 2020 : Lila Moss by David Sims

Remind me again, who is the key demographic for this magazine? One look at this over and I would guess it was Teen Vogue. Obviously it’s not sophisticated, but that’s nothing new. The child like text doesn’t belong here. Maybe in a child’s book, but not Vogue. Lila looks very young, almost too young for this. It’s problematic because she automatically drags the whole thing down. If this didn’t have a Vogue logo it could be from anywhere. Condé Nast really needs a magazine that is dedicated solely to youths. Quit putting them in Vogue. I don’t want to see them!

Oh my, so much for my high hopes for Lila. She did look good in her Jacobs ads, I'll give her that. But this falls flat... Must be tough being the Kate's daughter and producting work like this.

I don't mind the cover, I even find it cute with that hair and closed eyes. But that first photo/preview of Lila in orange shorts is such a miss that I absolutely love it, and I'm not being ironic.

I remember, like ten years ago, I was so excited at the end of every months of every the year to see who was on the cover.
Remember, it was a huge thing to be on THE cover of this magazine. Choosed by Meisel, be part of the Big Four.
Castings were high level, powerfuls and girls delivered.

It's different now.
I not excited anymore.

the saving editorial of this entire issue is with Vittoria Ceretti. soooo good!
I saw it on Instagram this morning and it just brightened my day.

imagine this editorial was only with Vittoria? just imagine.

STILL, Mica actually looks good but I just can’t pass that greasy looking hair...

Give this magazine to Fabien Baron and Karl Templer, I am sure that Vogue Italia will return to being glorious!!!!

Sadly, the masses prefer faux rawness and accessibility, inclusive socio-political gimmicks and diverse representation for their Vogues. They don’t want experienced talent and creative visionary worldbuilding and dreamweaving for Vogue. These are the dire days.

The daily gratitude affirmations from lifeoach Emanuele makes me want to heave. Yes, kindness and generosity is a virtue that everyone needs to remind themselves to follow— but coming from the context of a rag that hustles such overpriced material things that nobody needs to survive this global recession (that still I’ll admit to coveting), is so embarrassingly lacking in self-awareness. And until the day that Emanuele gives his pages free of charge and free of political influences from his billionaire advertisers to promote new designers without the excessive advertising budget to play for a seat at his Vogue table, he really needs to STFU with his faux-generosity/gratitude/humility. (That, and stop with his mockery of Franca’s once creative visionary Vogue.)

Sorry for living under a rock, but who is Ella???

In another note, if Alt has Rianne, Edward has Adut, Vittoria must be Farneti's Trentini at this point.

Sorry for living under a rock, but who is Ella???

Ella is the daughter of Marlon Richards + Lucie de la Falaise and the granddaughter of Keith Richards... She's also represented by Kate Moss Agency.

Can someone please explain why we need to say thank you to these celebrity kids after a whole year of 2020?
