Vogue Italia February 2008 : Agnete Hegelund & Kamila Filipcikova by Steven Meisel

Can anyone help me? I'm a bit confused about the rules here. I was told by a moderator that if there is a thread I should not post pics to it if they were in the thread already, EVEN IF the pics I would post would be larger or clearer and if they were two parters I'd put together and maybe the pic that was here was only half. And yet, while browsing, I notice in this thread and many others, that repeat pics seem to be posted a lot. What should I do?

^Are you sure a moderator told you not to post pics even when you have better quality pics? Because I have been a moderator and have never heard of that rule before.

In other words, post away :flower:

^Yes, it was me who responded :) But I don't believe I stated that it was specifically in the rules (Unless we're considering the repost factor, which we do enforce). However:

^^If the original pictures were screencaptured from a website and at very small quality (As is the case often with Vogue Italia and ads from sources like lebook), then scans are desired (Because people will still request them). But if they have been scanned, then out of courtesy to the original scanner, it will not be necessary to post more :flower: If there are no specific public requests for better scans (Which, I have to admit, is also a bit rude to the original scanner), it would save other scanners time and effort.

I just don't know if anyone really wants to send an indirect message to another member that "Your scans are not good enough." You know? Whether one may realize it or not, the original scanner did take time out of his/her daily schedule in order to provide what he/she could for this board. Overriding their efforts may discourage future contributions to this board, and that is truly not what we want to see.

There shouldn't be reposted scans...at least I don't see it occurring often (Unless it's accidental)

Oops, perhaps I should have said "guidelines" rather than "rules". My apologies there. :)

And I never would want to inadvertently insult or demean another scanner. Of course, I see scans of the same thing I post on other boards and I'm never offended but maybe other scanners are thinner skinned than I. I can't take stuff like that personally! :D

Thank you again, dear!
