Then there will be a cover that features a pile of Farneti’s Vogue Italia copies.

she is one of the most influential people here in Italy to talk about animal rights.

 

I hope someone calls him out for “championing” animal rights, while at the same time disturbing and stressing them as props

As one of the most influential paper intermediary, it is certainly right to take social responsibility, but as a fashion magazine, it should combine fashion and social issues instead of doing so perfunctorily. I still remember how I felt when I first saw the cover story "Water & Oil" in the VI August 2010 issue, I was totally thrilled. Now VI is just reminding me every month to confirm the fact that the old VI is dead.

 

Pretty sure the dogs in the images are trained guard/security dogs based on their breed although it wouldn’t surprise me if I’ll know that because I CAN’T CANNOT READ SEXY ITALIAN

 

If they will do animal theme, at least hire Steven Klein and real models.

It's interesting that you're referencing that shoot because I recall it got a lot of backlash at the time. Not on tFS, on the greater media. But it did make people reflect about the oil spill not in a 'look at what we've done' way but more in a 'look at what's happening right now in the world' and not just swoon over how chic or artistic Kristen looked in McQueen while reclining in oil slick. That's the thing about Franca's VI. It was always of the moment while still hitting the mark with the images. Probably not so much after Meisel left which just goes to show why synergy with a photographer is important.
This doesn't do the job at all. Could easily pass as a slightly edgier version of Your Pet magazine. I bet such a magazine do exist probably for an audience of 50 and over.

 

Do you want to make an issue on animals? ok but do it in Italian vogue style, take Steven Klein , Mikeal jansson , Mert Marcus and that's it !!!! as an Italian who had been buying Vogue for 12 years, I no longer buy Vogue Italia from the first issue of farneti in July 2017 !!!! I will never tire of saying it, give this magazine to Fabien Baron and Karl Templer

 

This is Ifrah's first Vogue cover so I'm happy for her!
Also feel sorry for The Black Mambas for their work not being artsy enough to get a cover.
