Vogue Italia June 2022 : Adut Akech by Vito Fernicola

it looks...incomplete....but the cover is nice

That's all @Zorka ??? it comes with an interview or something?

If only they put same effort on the general contents too...cover and cover stories cannot hold all the magazine....

Very Vogue Brazil!
The spirit of VI is not there and the styling of the ed is questionable on so many level…

The content Zorka posted is from Vogue Italia's website, as she credited. As far as I know Vogue Italia doesn't usually post complete editorials ahead of release but previews instead.

I like the cover but I highly dislike the editorial. A complete eyesore of a styling, it feels like a bad remake of any beachy Vogue Australia editorial she did in the past. And quite frankly Adut herself is bringing absolutely nothing to the story. Pity that we're seeing wonderful models like Raquel, Joan and Adut wasted on truly tasteless material. It's shocking just how appaling the Vogue brand has become in a matter of mere months. I don't know what the entire remodel did for them financially, but in regards of their image it was suicide.

Love the cast since Dontella's issue. Previous of that was a mess. I still don't get why their inaugural cover was Chiara's and her basic story. It should have been Aya from France, but the things went freaky after that. Vogue France started to decline and VI the opposite (in terms of covers).

Am I the only one to dislike this cover. The editorial is ok, but the cover does not look strong enough. I like her profile, but I find the cover somehow flat and the styling messy.

This month, there is hardly anything to distinguish the French, Italian and Spanish issues from each other, aside from the written content at the front (which might not be the reason why anyone buys a fashion magazine).

Not only do they all have the same main fashion editorials, but it extends to the beauty and accessory editorials, as well as all having a reprint of the Sofia Coppola feature... imagine being an unsuspecting casual reader picking up a few of these to look through on holiday, only to realise you've wasted money buying the same content.

Thats sad

With such a short story, you'd think every shot would be good but you then have that last shot, which is just so unflattering.

yeah, that scarf-end fluttering around the back of her neck just doesn't work for this very posed kind of shot.

Adut is a top-notch model but I'm not into this, the cover looks like a jewellery catalogue cover. I mean, I don't hate it but it's not a Vogue Italia-level image, tbh Vogue Italia isn't what we knew it to be ten years ago so that's not on her.

My least favourite out of the three Vogue covers dedicated to the Mediterranean. I do not equate black and white photography to the Med whatsoever, and for that reason alone the cover is a fail IMO. We needed colour! The vibrant yellow masthead jazzes it up somewhat, nevertheless.

The cover story is gorgerous & that photo with the magneta dress is so strong.

Sad than VI releases just 1 editorial on every issue on these days.

I’ve been to Pantelleria and this editorial just doesn’t do the island justice. It feels too cold, but I don’t hate it.

My Snap

The cover look page show the trio as multicovers for the same edition. (Sorry de quality).

I believe that just shows the collaboration between Vogue Italia, Vogue Spain and Vogue France alongside one another, @ivano. There's only the one cover for each edition of Vogue.

Yes! I know, but reminds of to days of 100 covers per month during Farneti's ternure, ha. It looks like a different magazine again. VI team change the design all the time.

I miss Meisel. VI hasn't been the same. Adut is too good for this cheap looking edit.
