Vogue Italia March 2017 : Lulu by Steven Meisel

any idea whether we can expect some changes in graphic layout of the magazine with the new direction?

I am guessing for the fall/winter season? Probably starts from July issue? Or June for it's when the pre-fall is featured.

If I were the new EIC, I would print a story that based on Franca's style..curry blond and feminine style with chic shoes... Like the Snejana-playing-Anna story Carine had published...

Just my personal thought. I really adore Franca's vision and her personal style. I miss her!

This issue is strange. There are some amazing editorials but the cover is atrocious..hopeful for the future though

Like a diva is not inspiring by Franca, is actually The End inspired by her

This issue is pure irrelevance.

I really think doing something like Sozzani did is quite absurd, and more when the issue you are aproaching is really passé by now. She used to talk about things that were hot at the moment... E-commerce is as old as Madonna, almost.

Meisel said he makes humor/satire out of editorials. Well here it is - online catalog in a magazine.

Oh how truly hilarious of him. Whatever will he come up with next? Perhaps some work worthy of his reputation

Has anyone outside of Italy got this issue already? Would like to check if this issue comes with the couture supplement.

Again this time, my local magazine seller has this issue WITHOUT the couture supplement but has the Vogue Accessory supplement wrapped. I just can't accept that they stop to include the couture supplement with the March issue. Last September I didn't get the couture supplement either for the first time during the 10 years of buying Vogue Italia. But i remebered some members here mentioned their copies came with the couture supplement.

I just don't understand what Vogue Italia's strategy is towards this by not including the couture supplemet in some countries (?). For me couture supplement is always the highlight to purchase the March/September issues and even more nowadays since the main issue is a bit dull. Is there any way I could contact them and complain about this?

Can't believe there are people who actually liked the cover edit,. It's so lazy. Well, to each their own, I suppose. Only got my issue yesterday, and I must say the Meisel feature is worst of the lot! A complete and utter waste of pages.
Other than the main edit, and the one dedicated to Franca, everything else looks quite above average to me. The Summerton story with Guinevere reminds me of a chic, refined and intellectual take on Madonna. Love how these older models manage to turn a simple story into gold. And the tube edit was also masterfully executed. Hope the Summerton/Wilson duo will continue to work for VI under the new EIC.
Even though Julia Hetta's work looks a lot like that of Nicole Bentley, still liked it. The focus is all on the pieces here. And it was a nice interlude between all the drama.
Comte's cinematic vibe also stood out, and Aldridge finally found a model to match the kitschiness of his storylines in Anna Cleveland. She's not a Kaia Gerber who just skid by on her looks. Her OTT diva energy actually pairs well with the styling and mood here. Overall a great issue with quite a vast variety of stories.

For the record, no supplements sold with this issue in my area. Completely forgot that I had to buy it online. Just couldn't resist such a thick spine.

I’ve never seen this. Does anyone know where to find this advertorial?
It’s already posted in this thread. It’s the Demarchelier story. But it’s not with Rianne but with Sara Grace Wallerstedt :flower:
