On aesthetics alone, the Toni/Katrin cover was in keeping with the Vogue Italia spirit of using new faces and had beauty about it. I'm biased towards it, memory-wise, because I looked at the issue again today, and was admiring the matt tones.

The black issue would win my vote on principle, but not on looks. Too heavy a design with that black frame, I don't need the theme of 'black' visually overemphasised to that degree.

What are the chances The Black Cover is going to win?

Anyway, the started so strong with the first couple of covers, then hit a bumb, then made a jump with Viktoriya and Anna's covers, but ended the year on a bad note.

i really loved January, February, March, April, August, November and December's covers. Each one brilliant in its own way, however i'm torn between February, April, and November...classic Meisel and March that was, IMO, something innovative. Italian Vogue produced very great covers this year and a few that flopped; The black model issue, as far as i am concerned with cover content, fell flat and even though i didn't necessarily love August, i feel as though it had a very legendary feel to it..

i really love so many of them i have no idea which one to vote for.

The December cover is really bad, Katrin looks grey, I can't understand why they'd use that image for the cover, the lighting /effect is very poor.

IMO this was a horrible year for VI, and i'm not just tallking about their covers, the issues were pretty blank specially compared to VP,imo.

I must agree this year was not kind to Italian Vogue for innovation. But I would say Viktoriya's September & Natalia's April issues will be classic Miesel covers years from now, July being the most talked about, and March being the most creative.

as far as the worse goes, i think Linda's cover is inevitably bad.

Not IT's best year.

I do like Guinevere's, the Amish cover, love Toni/ Katrin's and I REALLY like the funeral cover.

I mean, none of them are really that bad (except December), but many are not particularly memorable. I would have voted for the black issue, but to be honest I didn't think the covers were as special as they should/ could have been for such a special issue.

as a whole this year seems really dull for IT. so many of the images are still, studio type shots. I like february, may, august, and october the best.

I chose february though, because it represents what vogue italia is at its best.
