Grace Valentine, Janet Jumbo, Natalie Nootenboom & Amber Later:

BAD BAD BAAAAAAAAD OMG ahahaha it's not even laughable at this point it's that bloody awful.

I see almost every week the wonders some of you guys produce in the COVER Challenge here on The Fashion Spot and I compare them to what the Vogue teams do this day and it's apple and oranges lol. People on these forums are so amazing and Vogue team editors and graphic designers these days are sh** truthfully.

it’s bad. bring ADLR back please!

I actually don't mind the styling. Very androgynous, boyband-looking bunch. The photography, however? Abysmal.

It's so sad to see a once so good edition of Vogue "degenerate" to this. I had some hope when the October issue came out but this one is just sad. And by the description of the instagram post, this issue will reprint another male celebrity ed from Vogue Korea (followed by October issue's reprint of G-Dragon from Vogue Korea July). It's just sad that this edition is now full of reprints.

The talent simply isn’t there.

Vogues just spiral deeper and deeper into amateur slop. It’s at a point where it’s so blatantly, carelessly unskilled it’s self-sabotage. Did anyone ever imagine a day when Vogue covers would even still fail to come up short next to the generic glamour shot studio at the local mall (American Vogue September 2022 cover)?; Sloppier than1st-year graphic design Photoshop 101 student project (French Vogue September 2022 cover)?; and now this sort of cut-and-paste midrange departments-store banner ad aesthetic?

(But the sad truth is likely that these rags are hiring inexperienced, incompetent and uncreative people with low standards working on even lower salaries because of CN slashing budgets, while the experienced talents are being pushed out and/or leaving Vogues. And this is the result.)

Though I hate the cover image, I'm digging the new art direction!
Yes, the art direction is stunning! It just needs better images. See Vogue China covers under Angelica Cheung.
This actually had potential, just needed better composition.

I'm surprised to see Grace Valentine and Janet Jumbo on Vogue Japan who usually cast girls of the moment for their covers. Are they, because they've been around for a while? Not up to snuff with models.

I'm having a hard time trying to understand why they put separate images this way.
