Unfortunate that it’s Steinberg that gets the cover of one of the best issue of any current Vogues. This eternally grumpy-looking person drags everything down and has the weakest story, to boot. Kudos to the AD for salvaging from such a blend shoot of such a lethargic person and producing such strong covers. That's talent. ...Imagine had it been the likes of Imaan/Kristen/Liu Wen...
Omit Steinberg's story and it’s a gorgeous issue worthy of those long gone days when I would get lost just devouring, savouring and dreaming with every story from a 300+ pages tome; filled to the brim with creative stories that artistically captures the fashion of the moment, and conjures the culturally distinctive mood of a region. The street shoots are the best, harkening back to Anna’s Vogue Japan when Jiro Konami produced those gorgeous and charming on-location shoots in various corners of the Japanese cityscapes. Very glad the Korean photographers are upholding Jiro’s refined fashion eye on the street to such sophistication. The Western lessers could learn a thing or a hundred on how to shoot on the street and still have everything look so expensive, so dense with culture and history, and so beautifully alive.
