Vogue Korea October 2021 : Chloe Oh by Yeongjun Kim

Love the first cover. It reminds me of Paolo Roversi's work, although this is edgier of course. Thanks for posting! :flower:

An extremely gorgeous and luxurious cover which just screams fashion. I love Chloe's intense stare, those dark and moody colours, the use of the Miu Miu faux fur, Yeongjun Kim's lighting and the minimal text. What's not to love?

Ironic how just last month Vogue seemed determined to sunrise us up or die trying, while it's precisely this darker, deeper cover that inspires a braver attitude and higher standards, exactly what any self-respecting new beginning should be about. Also, it's always such a pleasure to see a model's name on the cover, and rarely is it more deserved than in Chloe's case. She carries the weight of this cover's concept effortlessly.

Vogue Korea continues to prove that you don't need to imitate art to be art. You don't have to cram the magazine with easily digestible illustrations, paintings, collages, and other visual forms of artistic expression, in order to achieve some sort of validation. Fashion photography is an art form in itself. You only have to be an artist at it. This is proof.

I absolutely agree: how many times did Korean Vogue publish great cover stories and editorials with yet inside so much focus on art, beauty, artists and entertainers and so on? Many times, they have their own formula and it words so well. Hopefully under the new Vogue Asia umbrella, they won't lose their mark.

Props to Chloe and the editors/contributors of this issue. It's a best-seller.

Lovely! Is Vogue KR part of the reorganization?

Review:

420 pages with 24 editorials. The gold masthead and headline look different on print and slightly less flattering than the digital version, but nonetheless, it’s still a solid cover.
