Thought it was Quentin De Briey again because this is awful! The dress, the overall shot, hair and makeup, and her expression.
She looks upset because she left her butter churn back at the farm.
I thought we were past this photoshop/sharp nonsense. Looks like she burned her face.
LOVE her, but my god, how unappealing is this cover!! From styling, to her face expression to the god awful setting, it's all so off putting!
Styling is horrid. Her expression makes it look as though she is just as confused as I am as to why this is the cover photo.
Her 7th cover this year, currently she tied with Luna Bijl for most vogue covers.
Covers like these are reasons models careers are sabatoged...so so bad lol!
I actually think Alique is quite good with close ups of models so I was hoping for a nice close up shot of Birgit.
This is rather disappointing.
But I am happy for Birgit, she deserves all the covers she gets and more!
Why does her face look so tense? And how did they agree to put that shot as a cover? Unflattering at best!
Her hair could have been better too...
Otherwise I really like it, from the styling to the setting.
She looks absolutely miserable.
Would have been nice to actually see faux-fur on the cover.
It's astounding to think the EIC had this shot available and never selected it for the cover - so gorgeous and with a gold, orange or muted-toned masthead this would've been an instant hit:
^ Completely agree, Vogue Netherlands constantly makes it harder than it should be.
