The Rykiel ads look like they could be Benoit....it looks like Bourdin, but more aggressive, and like Newton but too soft and fuzzy. Same goes for Feurer, not the make-up he used. A little too aggro for Barbieri....I say Benoit.
I don't know, one is Chloe and one is Rykiel....or did she design for both at the time? I'm fashion clueless, sort of....
Are you familiar with Benoit? I have just a few pix by him from Paris Vogue. I should post them since the model could be Ann De...the designer. The pix are sort of kinky, she is sewing with little or no clothes on and looks about 15...
No i'm not familiar with him...but i gotta tell you,i don't have an overwhelming desire to see a naked 15 year old sweingBut seriously,i would like to familiarize myself with him
it's so funny to realize that even back then in 70s Paris Vogue had such a distinctive aesthetic which doesn't look that out-dated (compared to, say, much younger, Versace ads campaigns from the 90s)

That seems to be how it works - fashion is a bit circular. The decade before us looks very outdated, but the ones before that do not. The aesthetic of VP is really interesting...the editorial team must have changed very drastically around 88/89 or so, around when American Vogue changed EIC.
