Its a really beautiful image and very appropriated for the month(s).
I like the almost vintage Jane Birkin inspiration. I am pretty sad with the denim (mainly because it was so used last month).
But its really good and its just a very clever model choice.

It's like all of the magazines missed the memo about it being Christmas in December or something. We've had a seriously un-festive bunch of covers this month from almost all of the magazines.

Sadly, a gold logo doesn't make it festive.

It's a beautiful cover indeed. Although the retouching on Carla's face is too obvious. So the Dec/Jan issue of VP aren't guest edited anymore, 'no?

So, aside from Doutzen, Daria and Natalia, every cover star this year has 'celebrity' status.

The cover reminds me of the one with Charlotte: foiled masthead, white headlines, denim styling, messed up hair by the wind... But this is even worse: she looks terribly photoshopped and her hair looks awful.

This is painfully boring. It would still make for a dull cover any other month, but it's especially lackluster given the holiday season.
Most of this is due to the styling; Emmanuelle might as well have put herself on the cover.

This is incredibly insipid, the styling is just a joke at this point! There is nothing exciting, or fun about this cover, especially for the double Dec/Jan cover issue that needs to really grab my attention! Carla does look stunning, but in a doll esque kind of way, it doesn't engage! However the content mind be fun, although i always found her a better model, than actress, singer, and not interested in her marriage, First Lady status.

I've realized the background of March, September, November and December/January covers is gray, and the famous anecdote about the US Vogue offices' decor change when Grace replaced Diana came to my mind... It's said Vreeland had a colorful and vivid decoration, and when Grace took over her, she changed it all for different shades of gray... It's kind of a metaphor of Vogue Paris current state.

Beautiful cover. Somehow it's both a bit retro and somewhat modern looking. Very nice. Alt has redeemed herself somewhat after the last couple of stinkers - especially that Kate/George Michael one.

while I really welcome seeing her on the cover I feel they could have done so much with her, it's just very unimaginative and dull to look at (especially after the last cover which practically looked the same)

a nice surprise for the cover star, I love Carla but I can't help to notice that this cover is just plain boring and bland. It looks like an outtake shot from the last issue's cover shot. Terribly boring and too plain.
