Vogue Paris December 2014/January 2015 : Inès de La Fressange by Mert & Marcus

it's not a very compelling black and white cover. this looks more like terri hatcher wearing an odd, matted down wig!

definitely not VP cover caliber.

can someone work some Ps magic and decrease the contrast in the cover photo?

wonder if this Avedon shoot served as inspiration?

^Good catch elalstica, the Avedon photo definitely served as "inspiration" for the first cover.

Same old same old... at least Sgura breaks a little with the monotony -_-
I´m annoyed with how similar Ines´ eds are, Sims´is more interesting imo but still...
I wish M&M had shot her in color.

Panoplies is funny, but in a good way. Love it! Magdalena and that Barbie and Dolce & Gabbana look!

Suzanne Koller's editorial is beautiful! The styling and the photography just works tbh. I love the simple styling matched with the colorful backgrounds is just beautiful!

Noblesse Oblige is beautiful as well but I don't know why. It's not exciting, it feels monotonous as their other editorials, but something about it is beautiful! Saskia is gorgeous!! The 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and the 12th shots are beautiful! Especially the one with the coat and the gate.

Ines' editorials are bland as hell. M&M's and Sims' are meh. They look the same although Sims' is a bit creative with the expressions. Like what some said, I wish the M&M ed had color to boost interest. I think M&M should stay away from VP for a few months

Very weak issue in my opinion. The editorials are very bland and at best the same as every other month. And I miss that sparkle, that holiday spirit, lively colours, it is the December issue as well, they did not need to show only January's greyness.

The Saskia's ed is stunning, i guess is my fave of the whole issue. Can't believe than the Ines' story by M&M, is a totally copy of the Inez & Vinoodh's style.

That's it? I'm sorry, this is not enough to warrant a purchase. The doll edit is the best in this issue, such detail went into the styling here. Each shot captures the core of the brand. Otherwise I find the rest of the stories mediocre. Some shots in Saskia's edit is passable. I wonder, why hire Sims and M&M if one cant tell the difference?
