Vogue Paris February 2017 : Anna Ewers by David Sims

One word comes to mind: massive. Gives me a chic vintage safari feeling, not bad.

I love it so much (the face a bit too shiny for me, but who cares? it's a great cover.

Why is her head so much smaller than her body here? Other than that i enjoy it.

No way! Recently in Cover rumor thread I said that I really miss VP faves and here's cover with Anna. This cover is everything!

Funny that she got two VP covers for August (2014, 2015) and now two covers for February (2015, 2017).

The styling is too heavy for me. This was the best shot?

I like the energy tho. But the layout needs some serious improving. Come on. You have a heavy styling and put a chuck of text on top of the heavy outfit? Talk about balancing a cover

Stunning and powerful! There's some excessive softening going on around her face which doesn't match her body, but I love this shot. Glad to see Anna back at VP after a yearlong hiatus.

Marina Abramovic, really? There's a memorable part in 'The Artist is Present' where Ulay touches on the disintegration of his relationship with Marina, and it basically boiled down to her getting caught up in fame. I think of it everytime I see her name in mainstream magazines and celebrities clinging onto her.....

Really happy to read the title, Anna Ewers is a great model... and then... what's this styling again Vogue Paris ??? Stop the 80's ! open your eyes, we are in 2017 !

I love it, and I'm glad it's not Adriana as announced in the cover rumour thread.
The text placement could be better, but other than that I'm not complaining. Great styling, Anna looks fabulous! Great way to start the year.

I don't like it. Anna is too weak of a model to be styled like this. She's literally being swallowed by the clothes.

Boring, next.

With Maria Grazia Chiuri, Marina Abramovic and Mélanie Laurent, we’ve brought together a cast of influential women who know how to get what they want for February. Covered by Anna Ewers, photographed by David Sims, the issue pays tribute to the magnetic personality of the beautiful Franca Sozzani, who passed away in December. Out January 24.

“We were putting the final touches to this issue when we heard that Franca Sozzani had died. The news was deeply sad and brutally sudden, Franca was an ideal editor-in-chief, a model in the industry, I can’t even remember what Vogue Italia was like before she took the reins more than 30 years ago. She understood that to leave a mark, influence fashion and turn a magazine into a reference title, you have to produce and publish striking images. That’s where her genius lay.”, writes Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, in her February 2017 editorial. Anna Ewers leads a fashion offensive on the cover, shot by David Sims in Spring/Summer 2017 military style, with an army of women who are taking the lead in their respective industries inside including Maria Grazia Chiuri, the first female creative director at Dior, Elisabeth Badinter, Marina Abramovic and Mélanie Laurent. Joining them, is a younger woman making her mark: Vogue Model 2017 winner Mathea Lucchini steps up to feature in her first Vogue Paris fashion editorial.

I feel like I've seen this a thousand times...

Me too. It looks like an outtake from the february 2015 issue. I feel like every other cover of VP is shot by David Sims nowadays :ermm:

Anna us becoming boring these days. I'd rather see Adriana.

I like it. The face is a bit waxy, but the overall effect is quite nice.

I don't like it. Anna is too weak of a model to be styled like this. She's literally being swallowed by the clothes.

I agree! I find all Anna's work quite boring lately, she can use a break. This cover is also not refreshing, same old.

The only good thing is that it's a model.

The outfit really makes the cover here. It is a decent cover, Of course Anna can easily pull off an 80s supermodel/ Claudia Schiffer vibe. However it does feel like we've seen this proposition from Alt and VP a million times before

I like it but I expected Adriana Lima
Someone said she would be on this February cover

I like the lack of photoshop ... wish they zoomed out a lil bit
