    OMG!!! Gorgeous!!

It's an unpredictable cover shot but it absolutely works!

However, my only concern is that, how will this do in the newsstands? Gisele would barely be seen. It would definitely surprise those who'd pick it up

I kinda like it, but the lay-out is soo random. Looks more like a random page inside the magazine (not even part of an ed) more than a cover.

No, sorry. Does nothing for me. This type of composition can be more effective with a professional art direction. I don't think it will be striking enough on the newsstand, but I do like the vibrant colours.

Nice color, that's all. Gisele isn't recognizable and playing second violin here, the background is taking all the attention.

Okay, so basically we are stuck with the cover for two months where the model is a secondary feature...

It's a great shot but it is not a cover. VP's art direction is a mess. Years ago their use of typography was stunning and felt so chic and expensive, but now it's terrible and this poor arrangement doesn't help.

There's an art to crafting a cover, even an unconventional one such as this. I'm all for playing around with the rules but you can't just use any old shot from the editorial, stick some type over the top and call it a day (as evidenced by many of today's magazines attempts at subscriber's covers.) Maybe it's just me but I want a well-crafted, balanced and considered cover and I want this kind of shot inside of the magazine where you can fully appreciate it.

Like I said, the photograph itself is fantastic, the blue is so enticing and I'm looking forward to the rest of the shoot, but this is not a cover. Maybe it will grow on me, but at the moment I'm not convinced.

This just works for me! The fact they went with such an unconvetional cover shot takes guts from Alt et co! Also Gisele not being fully in your face makes me want to lean in, and ask for her spread! Call it Voyeuristic impulse, but its well used here.

This is a GREAT photo to be a part of a summer editorial, doesn't work like a cover and the layout helps it. But GOD BLESS Gisele x Testino FOREVER ^_^

Does nothing for me ... wish they picked a different photo for this June/July issue because this looks like a supplement cover

Doesn't look like a fashion cover at all. More like Conde Nast Traveler.

    Flawless, eye-catching and kinda unexpected.
    I love that!
It was a bit hard for them to do a "Gisele" cover without repeating themselves. Most of her covers were around some sort of beach or blue lagoon so it's a nice thing that Emmanuelle did not styled it for once.

What's happening? Two Testino covers in a row for VP...

Love it! I like it that the star is the whole image not the model in particular.

I like that to, they are selling a mood, a moment, not just a "look". Makes me want to be there, next to her.
