Vogue Paris March 2014 : Lara Stone by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

I was not expecting Lara to be on the cover, I couldn't be happier. Finally an issue I'll most probably get my hands on.

this is just a copy of an old kate image taken by sorrenti

Yes is the firt image go to my mind, the cover look good, the phorto have a power but the digital retouch sometimes of M/M is too much

I agree, it looks like Interview cover. Interesting image but I'm not really a big fan of it

Lara
I'm not sure how much I like the red though. This is the cover from Vogue Paris' website and it's even more intensely red.

They could have left the face untouched but...let's hope the ed is as exciting as the title suggest!

"What is a femme fatale?" asks Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt in her March 2014 editorial. "Is she a miracle of nature? A vamp? A master of sartorial enhancement? She's a fantasy figure, sure, but so complexly drawn that try to name just one or two of these women and you'll realize that they are all very different."

To answer the question, we called on not just one, but four generations of muses. Fashion superstar Lara Stone lays bare a troubling beauty in deep black and magnetic red for Mert & Marcus on the cover and from the flaming-hot figure of the model launched by Vogue Paris back in 2007 as she raises the temperature in tuxedos, to Jane Birkin's essentials and the magnetism of Betty Catroux, via the disturbing innocence of Marine Vacht, the muse takes shape inside the magazine. But she's not just one woman, the femme fatale is more an iconic, astounding allure that breaks all the rules. This same refusal of classic codes also runs through editorials featuring some of the biggest girls of the moment, including Natasha Poly, Edie Campbell and Karlie Kloss, who readily play with their femininity as they explore what the term really means. And no-one more so than Toni Garrn, who sacrificed her honey blonde locks live for the magazine, in favor of an assertive bob in this issue. Stunning Amazonian women have always been at home in the magazine, evidenced in this month's supplement of beautiful vintage images from Coming into Fashion, a Century of Photography at Condé Nast, a new exhibition at Paris' Palais Galliera March 1 - May 25.

Amazing cover  , i'm glad than she's the cover girl. Too much Edie Campbell on VP!!!... is getting boring & wait to see the Natasha's spread.

Damn...
I don't hate Edie and I really enjoy her photos sometimes. But I just get tired of seeing her in Vogue Paris every month(Yes,from October 2013 to March 2014...)Obviously,she will get a cover soon.

Hope the content will be exciting!

Am I the only one who hates that bold font on Vogue Paris? (Like the one used on the cover title 'Jane Birkin')
So tasteless, styleless.

I'm sooooooo over features on Jane Birkin!!! Why do fashion magazine constantly recycle and retell the same stories over and over again..

I am very happy for Lara that she got the cover, however I do not like it. The angle isn't the best and I don't like the red colour. But I do have high hopes for editorial.

Also, I need a break from Edie.

For over a minute, I found myself just staring over the texts. That layout is bad! It reminds me of their old layout gone bad.

Well beyond that, I think it's a striking cover. Very reminiscent to Kate Moss' but who am I to complain. It's Lara Stone back on Vogue Paris!!

^Back? She has had three VP covers in less than three years...

I wonder why Natasha or even Anja didn't have their VP cover yet... It's super weird.

Poly and Rubik? I feel like Natasha and Anja have had Vogue Paris covers in recent memory.

balmain1914 I am with you on that tacky font.

Unless this cover is announced as being a collaboration with Crayola I will never understand it.

I think Anja Rubik´s only been in one cover, the June/July 2009 issue. I wondered why she didn´t get the June/July 2013 cover instead of Andreea... I think Poly´s last cover was April 2010?

I guess I just don't feel like that was so long ago. I really like both of them, but I'm not necessarily itching to see them on the cover again.

:ninja:

Please don't throw sharp objects at me  I know it is probably fashion sacrilege to say that.
