Vogue Thailand January 2018 : Stella Maxwell by Yu Tsai

fonts are a mess but i appreciate that they use actual models! Not an insta-girl in sight!

What does that even say? Obsession?
I will never understand Stella's success. She's just so bland to me

This seems completely off brand for Vogue Thailand. This seems more suitable for an H&M ad

Same... let's not talk about her walk ..

Its too guess for my taste could be mistaken for something Sgura shot

It's a horrible picture. Bad pose, bad angle, and awful styling! She looks like a knockoff Taylor Swift. The picture of her in the orange dress is stunning. That should have been the cover.

It’s not bad.

It is very consumer/commercial and reeks of that mall-aesthetic— but maybe that’s what appeals to their readers. At least it’s a better effort than what American and British Vogue have been churning out lately. The unfortunate placement of the type in the graphic design creating “BS” of the coverline is just a result of ESL, I suspect.

Stella look like a Shakira impersonator though.

Oh God, same here! Sgura uses her a lot for his campaigns and edits, but I've yet to see a really stunning shot of her. She seems to be one of those girls who get by just looking pretty.

The Thai models are far more impressive for me than Stella and her edit shots. But there is a distict budget feel sweeping throughout all the shots. Pity, used to like this magazine for their first few issues.

^^^ They really need to take it easy with the excessive retouching which instantly gives it a cheap, drag-look. This is not 2007 when that brand of retouching resulted in women look like painted plastic dolls was everywhere…

Why have two editorials with essentially the same styling? (Stella's and Wild West?)
