I'm not sure if I should laugh or find it cool. I like the palm tree idea, mostly because it reminds me of the excellent Numéro August 2015 cover. Here, it could have been visually interesting and eye-catching, but the execution is simply bad and poor. Alexandra's "wtf am I doing here" expression doesn't help.
Oh dear. It looks ridiculously cheap. A Vogue cover shouldn't make you laugh, it should make you dream at best. Alexandra has an exquisite face - they could've done much better even on a budget.
Gorgeous girl but terrible CHEAP execution!!! This is VOGUE come on!!!!!!!!!! Where´s the big budget? Where´s the drama of high fashion? Where´s the glamour? Where are the clothes lol?! This team should be fired!
The Palm Tree Appreciation Club, I bet something like that exists on Tumblr, will be happy! I do sometimes like it when a cover image doesn't show fashion in a literal sense. But they've gone about it all wrong with this one. There's no point to the headpiece, the digital backdrop makes it look cold and cheap, and while Micu is really a beauty to behold in print, they've not really capitalised on that at all. I know the social climate probably isn't the best in Turkey right now, all the more reason for the team to really dig deep and try something fresh and definitely with more enthusiasm. See Vogue Brazil. Or even other Turkish editions liie Elle. This team should just be dismantled, sorry. They've been crapoy for some time now.
