I don’t get what is the purpose of this event from the beginning. What does it want to sell? The relevance of Vogue?

I think the publication hasn’t come to terms with the fact that it’s no longer a “tastemaker” and this seems like a desperate attempt for it to remain relevant?

I expect this edition to be less dominated by European brands than the previous one.

Kendall is such an expected choice. I would have picked a model turned actress instead but this is probably one of the best image Kendall has ever done so…

Vuitton had one of the worst collections this season, so VIGUE WORLD is his only chance to get it shown again. And he pays for it too! Lol

Some part is cringe and corny but I think it's a fun show! Very chaotic though... some of the models walk were diabolical lol. I think I still like the last year show a little bit more than this year's..

It was sorta entertaining, I guess, but like others have said I’m really struggling to see the point of this show for Vogue as a business? What are they getting out of it? Getting celebrities to show up has never really been an issue for them, so what else? When they did those Fashion’s Night Out events, the bottom line was supporting industry and promoting designers. Here however it seems to be all about social media engagement. And is that even working? I didn’t even know it was happening until I opened IG this morning.

It's funny to see actual costumes with costume-y fashion and then more basic stuff mixed together. And then you get the question what does it all mean? Is there any purpose to any of it? Create work of course, but yeah...

Seriously.. I watched this (cause I was baking, don't come for me!) and was thinking 'what is this again?' the entire time. Like is it Vogue: the fashion show?, a fundraiser? a display of viability for advertisers? cause it's very 'hey look at all this extravagant s*it we can afford!'. It's so pointless it almost enters money laundering scheme territory..

I also struggled with understanding who the audience for the 2025 edition was. I have to go back and watch the 2023 and 2024 editions, but the 2025 edition was uninspiring to me. It was fun to see Gracie Abrahms and Doja Cat perform, but I don't quite understand all the movie throwback looks. I do understand that it's "Vogue World Hollywood", but if I wanted to see, say, Dune x Edward Scissorhands x Black Panther, I would just go watch the actual movies or BTS of those movies.

It just seems to be designed to generate a concentrated mass of content for social media with the Vogue name firmly attached to every image, in case people forget that Vogue=fashion.

It doesn't seem like anyone really misses out by not being there in person, because nothing special seems to happen that people could be talking about for years.

I actually thought it was really fun lmaooo I always love seeing Nicole Kidman, and Julia Garner’s bit was great. My girl Anok could have a career in film of she wanted to! The worst part was Gracie Abrams struggling to sing.
