Spring's best collections offered gorgeous, wearable clothes with whimsical flourishes. Every aspect of dressing well is getting easier: Pants are long and full; heels, flat or platformed; dresses, utterly plain, save for Grecian pleats and folds. Forget precious jewelry: All you need are some ribbons and wooden beads; as for a bag, consider a bold print (at Marni) or something as plain as a leather lunchbox (Jil Sander). Status this season comes from being comfortable in one's own (dressed) skin.

(in no particular order)

Balenciaga
Chloe
Jil Sander
Lanvin
Louis Vuitton
Proenza Schouler
Narciso Rodriguez
Prada
Roland Mouret
YSL Rive Gauche

Vogue's Top 10 Collections

Slash Prada, Chloe and Vuitton and they're all decent choices...

Thanks for posting it!

Jil Sander, Vuitton, Prada and perhaps even Balenciaga do not belong here, there were so many collections that were way better....the rest is fair though...

no surprises here...paying homage to the advertising gods at the prada group and gucci group. i'm just surprised to see no chanel.

That is strange-he is normally a Vogue darling...

In this S2005RTW fashion week, I was like Ann Demeulemeester, Balenciaga, Chloe, Dsquared, Emporio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lanvin, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf. At the same time, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chloe and Dsquared as my favourite.

I like all of them, excetp Louis Vuitton. I guess they had to get Marc in there somewhere.

YSL was a deception for me...

Too classical and too Saint Laurent (not in the same sense as when he said Tom Ford!!).

He was great, Tom...

My best from SS2005 :
V&R
Lanvin

For mens :
Nothing but dior homme

Regards,

I agree

Louis Vuitton & Prada really shouldn't be up there, they were mediocre at best. I thought the Miu Miu collection was infinitely better than Prada's

Vivienne Westwood was amazing, Suzy Menkes was very enthusiastic about it, but everybody seems to have missed it... where is my fashion granny?

You know what's wierd, out of the two Jacob's collections they chose Vuitton.....I actually liked his line better this season....

And I'm with softgrey on the McQueen subject......what the hell were they thinking!!!
