By the end of the photos, I forgot this was a Fall/Winter collection. Odd.
eek....the grecian draping, the blocking + the overall colour scheme looks like a page straight out of sophia kokosalaki's book.
toward the end the looks started to remind me of lady gaga's performance at the grammy's the other night
i love the colors
One of her best collections in a while. I have a soft spot for Ms. Bartlett.
I like it. Very futuristic, fashion forward. Nice shapes and cuts...
I liked the first half and then it rapidly went downhill. I just don't see how the last few pieces are appropriate for fall or winter unless of course you're Lady Gaga.
This is too messy I think... all these various color shades and materials!!!
And the cuts are not really my thing either :/
I really like the color story she has going on there.. It vaguely reminds me of a Marni 60s type vibe but in a more post-modern way.
for a season, maybe a season and a half, we had futurism as a trend, but leave it to the experts like victoria bartlett who make clothes that look like they jumped out of the next century. seriously, these clothes upend every other notion we have about "modernity" and "of the moment," and replaces them with something so compelling and desirable that it's quite amazing. whether it's a bra or an entire coat, adding anything from this collection to fashionable basics would take that look into the space age.
