I praise both of your comments, this is exactly how I think.
Really nice choice, such a stunning woman. I wish the ed had more of those outdoors pictures, they could have played more with the Tim Burton goth vibe from her movie.
Ugh yes, captures her essence to perfection.
Eva Green is one of the most talented actresses out there and such a stunning woman. I've been a big fan of hers since I saw her in Camelot. It's really exciting to see her on the cover of W and she does look amazing. That said, considering the recent projects she's part of(Penny Dreadful, Miss Peregrine), I wish they would have taken it a bit further creatively by pushing the styling/art direcion.
For such a beautiful woman that's a really bad cover.
with such sharp beauty has hers, this cover is quite tamed. I would have expected something creepy, mystic to go with her role in Miss Peregrine
Eva looks tired and untidy, not in a good way, on the cover. Wish it were more striking than that. The ed is great though.
What an attractive cover. Love the direction W is going at the moment.
With Eva on the cover I was expecting something sultry and misterious and yet I got that? an Allure worthy cover?
At least the last shot of the editorial has something interesting going on with the pose... that should´ve been better imo.
There's a pretty dope editorial by mert and marcus, styled by Edward Enninful, with a huge cast (issa, daan, leila, katie, kris, lexi, irina and etc)
He is posting some pics on his insta. Irina has posted some as well. Cant wait to see it all in HQ!
Considering the insane level of airbrushing on Eva's cover, W could have at least made her look refreshed not bloated and haggard.
Who let this cover run? The over-saturated complexion, unaturally puffy clown mouth effect and excessive contrast gives her hair a stiff, wig-like quality.
The more naturalistic, lower contrast editorial imagery better capture's Eva's softly mussed red lips, fine hair texture and fragile bone structure.
I'm baffled by the amateur, inconsistent post-production glaringly evident when comparing the cover with editorial images.
And to top it all off, the editorial is utterly unremarkable and predictable. The trendy typeface does not distract enough from the lackluster cover/editorial.
Complete waste of everyone's talent all around.
I love her! She looks so fab!

Seriously, i have a hard time to believe that this was shot by M&M.
It looks Meisel-ish, Sorrenti-ish...whoever-ish except from them.
^ Mert& Marcus are always learning from Meisel, Sorrenti,etc..so it's not strange to see they shot it..lol.
I have to say I quite enjoyed it.
I genuinely detest when Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott produce these massive, pretentious and over-hyped fashion stories with a whole host of models (most you can't even see in the background). Just SO pointless and honestly just looks an absolute eyesore. M&M don't even excel at this type of editorial.. definitely not my type of thing, anyway!
Wow, a new low for M&M! This is so hollow and pretentious, please go back to your usual saturated, bright type of hypersexual vibe. It certainly doesn't do any favours for this magazine, which is teetering on thr brink of irrelevance.
I only like the first picture. M&M really need to stick to what they do best, instead of getting 'inspiration' from other photographers, and then failing hard at the execution. Some of these shots are so lame and tired. The screaming shot in particular is just embarrassing.
That editorial looks amazing, despite it being derivative of others' work.
