This is so played out at this point.
An instagram post as art. Totally "ahead-of-the-curve" indeed.
this won’t age well.
Oh Lord, hilarious. Kate looks really good though.
All around cringe.
^Cringe is the right sentiment for this. Trite "social" commentary in the form of Kate photographed by her boyfriend. And W has already done art with Kate and Richard Prince before.
An instagram post repackaged as art and then turned into content for a printed magazine.
Wasting paper on this drivel should be made an environmental crime.
Just the photo itself would make a great cover.
The best cover of W Magazine was the Art Issue with Linda Evangelista on the cover.
Indeed. This was like a thing from 4 years ago right?
Friendly reminder: Show W magazine how to create a decent "Art Issue" cover in this week's Cover Challenge theme.
Art is subjective. And my subjective point of view is that this is lazy and desperate.
b*tch, I did this in the cover challenge months ago! Maybe it is kind of interesting, if you really really try to look at it from a certain point of view in which this is a mockery of the future we're headed towards in art, because we're just that superficial to treat screenshots as art.
But I'm still not sold on it. Kate does look good and I do like the old logo, but I hate the big art issue text on top. It's just so stupid. I love themed issues, but if you have to put it in writing to make people understand, you're doing it wrong.
A BIG NO
I was thinking 3 years but yeah it’s been awhile. Lol
“Who did what when matters.”
This issue is with the new administration or what?....
Glad they went back to the old logo.
Don’t have much to say otherwise.
